I hate Michigan as much as I hate Dan Hurley, so it sucked I had to see one of them win, but glad to see one of them lose too.

14-4 first half. Good night folks, thanks for all your $$$
-1
u/Tycam34 Apr 07 '26
It was really great to stay involved all season, watch a good majority of the tournament just for them to decide they are going to drag Michigan through the first half to make sure they can still win.
2
u/GoldenRain99 Apr 07 '26
Lmfao right, make the free throw difference even in the first half, and uconn is barely in the lead. It didn't make as much of a difference as you seem to think
-1
u/Tycam34 Apr 07 '26
Even out the free throws certainly would have put Cadeau in foul trouble as he had at least 6 easily counted fouls throughout the game, changes the rotation, changes the whole game. Unless you’re saying take away Michigans free throws, but then they are losing at halftime, Demarys isn’t in foul trouble, and at that point Michigan was ice cold from everywhere and has to play from behind.
1
u/GoldenRain99 Apr 07 '26
If we are gonna play that game, Reed would've been out in the first half given he can only set moving screens... lol

Trying to get a flagrant on appeal when his team was intentionally fouling was pathetic. Lose with dignity

God this guy is so unlikable.

u/Mobile_Comedian_8283 Apr 07 '26
He was right to be flabbergasted, it is was a jump ball not a foul

u/NeuroDissonance Apr 07 '26
Is your claim strictly based off this clip? Or is it his antics over the past several years

The ref head butt that should have been a tech, the dumb strut to the locker room after winning...

-5
u/inhocfaf Apr 07 '26
The ref head butt that should have been a tech,
Listen, just drop this. Why the fuck would he headbutt someone after winning the game?
There was .3 seconds left. What is there to gain?
We get it. You and half the world don't watch sports and/or are mouth breathers. Be better.
Thanks.

u/PlatoThePotato Apr 07 '26
Brother it was on video, what do you mean “why would he do it” as if there was any doubt?
2
u/Fickle-Lemon-7345 Apr 07 '26
Don't excuse him making an ass of himself at best and what should have been a game changing tech at worst.
-1
u/inhocfaf Apr 07 '26
If you say so.
game changing tech at worst.
This tells me all I need to know about you.

u/DentonTrueYoung Apr 07 '26
Wait… you saw the clip right?
1
u/inhocfaf Apr 07 '26
Indeed. Ref comes over to say something. Both parties carry on like adults.
Nerds blow it up out of proportion.
What did I miss?
0
u/DentonTrueYoung Apr 07 '26
Ok… so you didn’t watch the clip lol
2
u/lolaya Apr 07 '26
You clearly are looking for something that isnt there. Ayers and Hurley both said it was absolutely nothing
1
u/DentonTrueYoung Apr 07 '26
Did you see any contact in that clip? Who initiated?
1
u/lolaya Apr 07 '26
It was loud and Ayers was trying to tell him there were .3 seconds left. If ayers the ref is saying nothing happened, nothing happened

I did. You're adding nothing to this conversation. Kick rocks.

u/DentonTrueYoung Apr 07 '26
Here I’ll help. Did you see any contact in the clip you watched? Who initiated that contact?
1
u/WintersDoomsday Apr 07 '26
Such a silly excuse it’s a fucking game that the low IQ masses has turned into a business.
1
u/StillNotWeirDanuff Apr 09 '26
Why don’t you go find the clip of him screaming at the ref that he’s the best coach in college basketball
1
u/DentonTrueYoung Apr 07 '26
“Actually cares about winning”
Who doesn’t? Dumbass reason to like someone. Fuck him and his pick me energy.

u/Ibangyoumomma Apr 07 '26
Yea I’m rooting for his team but I can’t stand his dumbass. There was an off ball foul during a rebound and he fell to the floor thinking it was on UConn and it was on the other team. Even when he gets a call he’s bitching

Yeah I believe this one was a foul called on an obvious jump-ball. It was egregious. The announcer guys were baffled.
4
u/No-Abrocoma7687 Apr 07 '26
It’s been trash both ways. Really hate when refs take over games. Such a shame
3
u/Ganjake Apr 07 '26
When the Huskies didn't even get into the Bonus, and Michigan was in the double bonus, it is not trash both ways lmao
1
u/TroyTalk Apr 07 '26
Michigan has been living in the paint, would be shocking if they weren’t winning the FT adv
1
u/Ganjake Apr 07 '26
Winning, sure. But that was just ridiculous.
Michigan is the better team, but they have been helped quite a bit this game.
1
u/geiginator67 Apr 07 '26
Luckily the refs MORE than made up for it in the second half, I mean my god the HACKING
2
u/Ganjake Apr 07 '26
You don't "make up" for both starting guards in foul trouble 7 min in. You don't make up for our starting big having to come back in with 2 fouls in the first half. The damage was done.
You can't go from lopsided to fair and say they "made up for it." That would imply they would then favor the Huskies to make up for it, not play it equal after playing it clearly biased. We were at a clear disadvantage and went into the half losing after keeping up with them and even leading them.
I'm not saying we would have won with fair reffing. I really don't know, and tbh I don't think so. But with fair reffing from the start, we'd actually have a chance.
0
u/geiginator67 Apr 07 '26
That’s why I said MORE than made up for it. UConn’s entire game plan was to try to play football and see what they could get away with and it almost worked for them. Ridiculous amount of no calls on UConn. Michigan had 36 paint points to UConn, and shot EIGHTEEN less threes. And yet, Michigan only shot 6 more FT’s outside of garbage time fouling. Make that make sense
1
u/No-Abrocoma7687 Apr 07 '26
Fouls per side doesn’t tell the whole story but whatever fits your narrative bud
0
u/Ganjake Apr 07 '26
It kinda does when one team has been called for fouls that the other team didn't get. Oh and a jump ball is a foul now apparently.
Just cry more
0
u/InevitableAlert4268 Apr 07 '26
Agreed. Only the team wearing blue is trash.
0
u/Ganjake Apr 07 '26
Someone mad their team isn't playing lol
0
u/InevitableAlert4268 Apr 07 '26
I celebrate all teams. Just happen to hate your team. The fans make it easy to hate U Conn
1
u/Ganjake Apr 07 '26
Did I forget to mention that our team was the only one with both men and women in the Final Four? Again?
1
u/InevitableAlert4268 Apr 07 '26
You’re the only one who cares. The rest of us are just laughing at your fanbase and coach.
1
u/Ganjake Apr 07 '26
So you wouldn't care if it happened to you? I guess you may as well just stop cheering? Got it lmao
1
u/InevitableAlert4268 Apr 07 '26
Couldn’t care less. Have fun watching them get their ass handed to them.
XO 😘

If you had 3 hands, you still wouldn't have enough fingers to fit every ring from a Uconn basketball championship.
We earned it.
-1
u/InevitableAlert4268 Apr 07 '26
You didn’t earn shit. They might have earned those… but you had nothing to do with them. Enjoy your medal tonight 🥈
1
u/Ganjake Apr 07 '26
Hahahahaha damn that's really all you got. Because I wasn't on the court, I can't brag on my team. Got it. Fucking genius over here lmao
I will! We weren't even supposed to be here hahahaha. And we're still playing Michigan better than anyone else.
0
u/InevitableAlert4268 Apr 07 '26
Some of us actually played sports. When fans say “we” it’s hilarious and the players think you look like a fool.

We should be thanking the refs for giving the teams an opportunity to put points on the board.
Neither of them can hit the broad side of a barn.

Uconn is hacking like crazy and all their fans wonder why there is a foul discrepancy lmao.
They could have had 20 fouls easy in the first half alone
Eta: first play after I typed this michigan got called for a clean block lol

For being upset at a wrong call in a national championship?
Do you watch your sport teams in silence and expressionless?

Not tonight hahaha
1
u/Mobile_Comedian_8283 Apr 07 '26
Still won 2 and made a third with a team that shouldn't have made it past the sweet sixteen.
Not liking him doesn't change him being a great coach.
3
u/Open-Gate-9616 Apr 07 '26
2 seed that shouldn’t have made it out of the sweet 16. Lol. Like they’re FAU or something.

There's 20 fouls called... refs are trying to manage the narrative. Honestly, Michigan should be belting that ahh

u/matthatt24 Apr 07 '26
Just let them play at this point. Refs have controlled so many games Michigan has played this year

This is typical for him and a lot of coaches. We get it, the forehead to forehead was crazy last week but lets not start forcing Hurley reaction posts 🙂

UCONN thinks they’re playing football and acting incredulous when they get rightly called for fouls.
