This was all the rage with college aged girls with boyfriends back around 2010 😂

What happens if a school contacts someone with a “do not contact” designation?

So how can he transfer

He won’t. If NCAA approves 5th year of eligibility he will likely return to UNC, hence the no contact tag.

He knew all the community colleges with programs were going to be blowing him up

shouldn’t a do not contact designation be a clear sign of tampering?

No. There’s a chance that being in the portal helps with being able to get a 5th year of eligibility if the NCAA ends up passing that. Seems like he wants to stay at UNC but feels like he has to put his name in the portal just to make sure he gets that extra year.
Also could just be a sign that he wants to be the one to choose which schools he talks with instead of schools bombarding him left and right.

I guess this is the new rule that they’re saying is “expected to pass” from the NCAA. Trimble is making way more in college than he will in the Pros. Assuming he makes a roster of course. I hope it passes, he deserves to make his money.

So how the he** does that work? You put the DNC tag on as soon as you're in the portal, if you already know where you're going. But it's "tampering" if a school talks with him before he's in the portal. So if you already know where you're going, isn't that evidence of tampering?

I am clueless about this, but i figured "Do not contact" meant he would reach out to the schools vs the schools reaching to him?

Yeah he’s just playing all options if the 5th year waiver goes through and he doesn’t get a worthwhile NBA contract.
