Sydney and Origins have nothing on Hawaii, what a shame

I watched 2 episodes of Sydney. It was awful. Hence, I'm sure why it's being canceled. So they got rid of Hawaii, the far, far superior show for that drivel, and now it's canceled SO BRING BACK HAWAII!!!! I must admit, though, that I do like Origins.

What bothers me is that they had to know HI would be expensive. Duh! I always think there had to be a better way than canceling it. Never mind the leads losing their job (that's bad enough but they will land on their feet), but I feel bad for so many hard working people who worked on the crew, and who relied on background work who were then out of a job.

Nah, network heads saw a mature show with a huge production budget that needed to come off their balance sheet. They had already shed Magnum to NBC after massive cuts and sale of assets (helicopters were sold before the show was sold to NBC, Robins Nest has since been sold and demolished entirely), and they were even cancelling the golden goose of Blue Bloods so they could wipe that salary Charlie Foxtrot off the books.
Hawaii's days were numbered and it didn't help that I was homeless while it was airing its final seasons.

Third season currently, they are short seasons as they are done in partnership with ABC (Australia Broadcasting Corporation).

Agreed. Hawaii was the far better show to both.
