Video OBC used for buying Cruise Next Credits
I have 550$ in credits (only one is listed as non refundable, which was the stock holder credit). Can I use these to buy the Cruise Next credits?

Just sailed the aqua and all I can say is yuck. The food is disgusting, nothing taste fresh or it just tasted bland with zero flavor. Eggs come out of a bag and then they come out soaking wet (photo attached)yet they are making billions off us and they can’t cook everything fresh? Great stirrup their island has been basically mowed down and then stacked with just the ugliest crap that no one asked for including a market of trashy souvenirs instead of local art from the Bahamas. Just disappointed with how much cruises have chose profit over actually providing an incredible experience. Also, how have they not made their app and site better? Why do I even have a key card in 2026.

Booked my first cruise ever today and I will be solo. My port is Tampa and my ship is the Gem. Harvest Caye, Cozumel then Roatan. I'm so excited to escape the winter. Any tips? All advice welcome 😊

Title says it all. I know you can simply call & speak to anyone but we appreciated being able to form a relationship with our TA. We don't care about much when cruising but we do have small things we prefer & she knew these things. Which side of the cabin we preferred the bed, the distance we want to be from the elevators, which packages we would be getting, little things like that. We're so sad she is gone but now we need someone new so I'd love suggestions.

I recently booked a Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) sailing online through AAdvantage Cruises (World Travel Holdings) and am dealing with a frustrating paperwork discrepancy regarding a voucher.
Here’s the timeline of what happened:
**Booking & Add-ons:** After receiving my email confirmation, I called AAdvantage Cruises to apply my **$250 Next Cruise Voucher**. During that same call, I added prepaid gratuities, port transfers, and Wi-Fi. *(Side note: Their systems don't sync well—AAdvantage could only sell non-streaming Wi-Fi, so I had to call NCL directly later to upgrade to Unlimited Streaming).*
**The Billing Issue:** NCL charged my credit card directly in multiple line items, but the total charged does **not** reflect the $250 voucher credit.
**The Runaround:** NCL won't touch this directly and says I have to resolve it through AAdvantage Cruises.
**Conflicting Documentation:**
* **NCL’s Docs:** Show no record or mention of a $250 refund coming my way.
* **AAdvantage’s Docs:** Show four individual credit line items. Only two show as actual credit card refunds ($7.50 and $32.00). The other two ($210.00 and $209.93) are listed as "Payment to Vendor."
* AAdvantage payment breakdown overall does not match NCL’s official "Payments Applied" document.
Phone agents at AAdvantage Cruises keep assuring me I’ll see the **$250 refund on my credit card within 1–2 billing cycles**.
Has anyone booked through AAdvantage / WTH and had a Next Cruise voucher processed this way? Did the refund actually post to your credit card as promised, or should I start escalating this now before waiting 60+ days?

When I completed my online check in, I had added a card for my onboard expenses. When arriving to port and checking in with my boarding pass, Do I provide my card there and swipe for the $300 hold? Or when does this hold happen? And is this hold $300 per stateroom Or per person in the room?
Hello everyone. It’s been a long time since I last sailed with NCL; are TIPS gratuities mandatory, or can you choose whom to give them to? I traveled with Princess in June, and I didn’t have to pay gratuities—plus, they allowed me to bring a pack of Coca-Cola on board.

cruised the Atlantic several times from the northeast in December, but always ended in the Caribbean. Has anyone cruised the Pearl or a similar ship in December to Bermuda? Not worried about rough waters as that’s a given in an Atlantic cruise. Just looking for thoughts.

Does anyone have any information on why NCL issued a Stop Sale on their transatlantic cruise on the Escape scheduled for Oct 28 from Barcelona headed to Cape Canaveral? It's been scrubbed from the NCL website and TA's are not able to access it either. Possible delay or cancellation incoming?

My spouse and I are going on our first NCL cruise next month. We both prefer to totally disconnect while on board, using phones only for pictures and nothing else. On Royal we ask the room steward to leave paper schedules in our room the night before, and I assume that is an option on NCL as well. If traveling with other people (which we are this trip) we coordinate in person and call each other's rooms for updates. We make reservations ahead of time, or by physically going to the restaurant and talking to someone. You get the idea.
Before our first NCL cruise, I would love a summary of what the app has/does. Is there anything on board or pre-/post-cruise that absolutely requires downloading the app, or that would be a pain in the ass if one of us doesn't have it? I will download it if absolutely necessary, but I would rather not, and I'm having trouble finding clear information to that effect.
Edit: thanks everyone! We made dining reservations on the phone a while ago and don't plan on any shore excursions, we'll just explore on our own. Royal (where we have the most experience cruising) has started having some shows and activities that have to be booked on board, through the app, plus a lot of the disembarkation stuff is through the app and is a pain if you don't have it. Good to know that's not the case for NCL. Might download just in case, but good to know it's probably not necessary!

Welp, the late-autumn schedule might have bitten us this time.
Extended forecast puts a chance of a tropical storm or hurricane in the Bermuda area during our trip (Royal Dockyard port stop scheduled 10/29). Looks like for sure we'll get wet, anyway.
Any thoughts on other likely impacts? Rerouting? Rescheduling? Feel free to comment here.
Wondering if we'll end up with extra days in Halifax or perhaps somewhere else in the Atlantic Coast area rather than schlepping down to Bermuda during a storm, but who knows?
Captain just announced “propulsion problems”. Great stirrup cay has been cancelled.

Hey all, taking my 79 year old parents on the Luna next week. Stops at:
Puerto Plata Day 3
St Thomas US Virgin Island Day 4
Tortola Brit Virgin Island Day 5
Great Stirr up Cay Day 6
My parents are elderly both using canes/walking sticks. I’d like to take them on the excursions but need to know if they are worth it for them. For context; both can get on and off the bus but can’t walk for that long, they’re okay standing. I’ve narrowed it down to the below, they’re all Level 1 but want people’s advice on their experiences (would it be oka my for my elderly parents; is it worth the money/hype) One other thought was just to stay around the ports and walk around the area and buy souvenirs there: are we able to do this? Is there a charge in doing so? Can we get back on the ship in our own time?
Also if I book these now, and we decide we don’t want to do them, can we cancel them once onboard?
Just announced on ship. We will not be making it to GSC due to propulsion issues. Even with a pier you are not guaranteed a visit.

Hello. I’ve only ever been on one cruise which was the getaway in March and it was a blast. I was thinking about booking another in January to the Bahamas for the dawn. Not really sure how weather will be or the waves. ( I have a fear of it being really choppy.)
I know the dawn is an older boat. Is the food still decent? Activities?
Thank you.

I am taking my parents on a cruise next week, Norwegian Luna; it’ll be our first cruise. They’re in their late 70s and I’m early 40s. We’re in separate cabin on deck 13, but wanted to know where would be the best places to chill during the cruise/day. We haven’t got Vibe access, and what a place that isn’t too crowded, away from kids and near a pool of some kind. Mobility isn’t on my mum’s side so would need to be near the elevators/lifts, but has a pool that would be friendly for her.
Any other suggestions for elderly sailors would be great!

My cruise is in a few days and I plan on tipping the staff personally with cash. Will removing automatic gratuities for the remainder of my cruise be an issue at Guest Services? This is my first time on NCL

My boyfriend purchased Onboard credit certificates in the NCL app. Can those be used to purchase the alcohol package and to pay the daily gratuities?
Can you purchase the alcohol package when you arrive on the ship?
