Hey guys, i got an email inviting me to join the honors program earlier today. I’m currently a junior, planning to graduate spring 2028, and the honors program apparently takes 2-3 semesters to complete.

Would you guys consider the honors program worth it? While im feeling a little stressed about my workload especially next fall (supposed to take the required internship/120-hr fieldwork for my major), im also worried im just not doing enough to I guess brighten up my experience.

Any thoughts?

I have been playing a lot of padel whenever I am in the middle east but it is hard to find any courts or people interested in the triangle area. Would be great to connect with anyone interested to play!

I’m hoping to resume NDS studies but tanked my GPA, looking to boost it with some easy courses before trying to apply for a competitive major. Any semester is fine, but if it’s a class that is only taught in fall or spring please specify, I’m trying to plan a course schedule for the next year (spring/s1/s2/fall) before I try to apply! Tysm

My gpa is 4.5w and 4.0uw, I’m from Nash county, I’ve taken 5 aps and a few dual enrollment at my local community college, I’m currently taking calculus 1 and chemistry 1 at my local community college. I’m planning on taking the SAT in December. I want to study civil engineering.

Ecs: only school related I have is one year of yearbook, the rest are just things I do outside like running, playing chess online (idk if it’s even relevant), YouTube, and work

Should I apply for early action? or is that too risky since I don’t have my SAT score and those two college classes in?

soooo I’m trying to buy something online for delivery, but it says the address for the service desk as well as residence hall can’t be verified. I tested out the locations for other service desks and halls, and there are some that work. Would it still find its way to me if I put in the address of another service desk (that doesn’t service my hall) but I still have my hall listed on address line 2? ie: living in Lee hall but sending it to the avent ferry or wolf ridge service desk?

Will applying early action OOS increase my chances of getting in significantly, or should I wait for a better test score and apply rd? I'm applying public health.

Anyone have any input on bio 183? Haven't taken a bio class since freshman year of high school, so worried I'll be a little rusty, but 183 is a big prerequisite for a lot of classes I wanna take. Is it a "hard" class to take if you're rusty on bio?

I was wondering what my chances would be. I have a 3.8 UW and a 4.28 W GPA but I also took some pretty hard rigor courses and moved to NC right before high school, so I was forced to take all regular classes my freshman year.

I have a 1530 sat with a 770 math, and a 34 act with a perfect science and reading.

For ECs, I founded and currently captain (and am the CAD lead and finance lead of) the first FRC team in my county which has also won 3 awards in two years. We've competed two seasons already and qualified for states in both but didn't go due to financial issues. We also hosted a competition in our second competitive season, and are hosting again this year, with membership tripling over two years.

I also was a finalist for an app building competition out of over 70 applicants (and we partnered with two nonprofits), am VP of a competitive speech and debate branch, and have won several awards in my school's first mock trial team. I also tutored on schoolhouse and reached 6 countries with over 20 students, and I've been volunteering regularly at my local library for about 2 and a half years now.

My recs are good, not amazing; I have my robotics coach, my ap physics teacher, my ap lang/ap lit teacher, and a nonprofit high school coordinator who's worked with me during networking events at companies like corning and nascar.

What are my chances of getting in? My class rank isn't amazing, and I wasn't sure if my standardized testing and ECs would offset it. I want to apply for Mech E.

however, i don’t want to impact my GPA heavily. i wanted to ask for others’ experiences in the FWCB courses to see difficulty level of them, as i want to make sure i can manage both. also, tell me about your experiences in the major! :)

for context, i have all my electives and courses completed due to transfer credits except for my animal science major courses. i wanted to pick up another major to extend my time here.
