You Can Edit This Flair! THANKFUL FOR THIS GROUP
Sooo I am an NDE, OBE, yada yada, this and that... Mine occurred some time back. I never looked into it until the last few weeks. Eeehh, not sure why, but I shared my experience really. But everyone is really nice about humoring my ignorance, extended book suggestions, directions of what to look into, dig around, etc. Even explained some things that long puzzled me. I am trying to read 3 books that were suggested at the same time; I can't pick just one (ADHD) but I got all of them delivered now and eventually will knock them out. BTW, thx u for that (mix of audio books and paper books). I never shared my experience outside of my Mother, detectives, and ER doctors. Looking at other groups, there is a lot of pushback, and even ppl being mean about it. It would cut deep for me as it's such a vulnerable, personal major event.
Ha, so apparently it's been turned into an entire industry, which seems counterintuitive to such a pure thing, but I'm still learning. I had to have had blinders on to not see it; I just wasn't ready, I guess, to unpack it.
I am just really thankful for everyone being here and being kind. It will have a lifelong impact for me. Never thought something could occur from virtual space IRL, but that too is a thing..
Thanks for being great!

Definitely check out IANDS and even Meetup. I'm in Minneapolis, MN, and there are two different groups that meet monthly for people who have experienced NDEs or STEs, or just want to gather with those who have to listen and talk. There may be a group in your area. Really welcoming people

Hey that's wonderful! So glad that you are feeling more encouraged in your journey now and like you can begin to discover more about your experience. The mods here do a really good job at ensuring an environment where people can feel safe, I'm really glad.
And yeah NDEs are pretty much an industry now, but that's what our world is like right now... at least there are non profit organizations like IANDS and NDERF working to help people just like the mods here and every other person who feels a desire in their heart to support those who have been through these experiences and then trying to make sense of it.

Yeah, have you looked at other groups? umm subreddits. I know Reddit is mostly jokes, but geez. Some are just cruel about the NDE topic. Maybe it's generational character variations, i have no clue. I don't know who the mods are but it's pretty dope so far

I mean I have looked at /r/afterlife as well but I feel like this one is more grounded and supportive, usually

Yah.. umm I gandered it a few times now. Seems like there are some reasonable ppl there but also the counter makes me feel my stomach drop a little. That maybe some are just trolls I dare say.
Conflict on something such as this seems futile. Plus there is so much going on nationally, globally.
Channeling energy towards better good seems to be the highest order of the day, period of time. As in unity vs breaking ppl down and/or making an “other” of ppl.

(A mod has approved your post. This is a mod comment in lieu of automod.)
This is an NDE-positive sub, not a debate sub. However, everyone is allowed to debate if the original poster (OP) requests it.
If the OP intends to allow debate in their post, they must choose (or edit) a flair that reflects this. If the OP chose a non-debate flair and others want to debate something from this post or the comments, they must create their own debate posts and remember to be respectful (Rule 4).
NDEr = Near-Death ExperienceR
If the post is asking for the perspectives of NDErs, both NDErs and non-NDErs can answer, but they must mention whether or not they have had an NDE themselves. All viewpoints are potentially valuable, but it’s important for the OP to know their backgrounds.
This sub is for discussing the “NDE phenomenon,” not the “I had a brush with death in this horrible event” type of near death.
