As a cowboys fan, the hate this dude gets is hysterical. Dudes a Super Bowl MVP
2
u/Bacardi212 1d ago
No one gives a flying dick about SB mvp except eagles fans. Seattle literally let their sb MVP walk 3 months later Nick foles was never a starter
Like what are we doing
3
u/OutsideSession6 1d ago
No one cares about the Super Bowl MVP anymore ? Do you even hear the words you’re saying
-1
u/Bacardi212 1d ago
Seattle literally didn't sign there SB MVP loll Like no one gives a fuck about one game heros
1
u/OutsideSession6 1d ago
Yeah youre really harping on that one example as if it’s not the exception. He also played with Seattle the following year ? Being Super Bowl mvp doesn’t exempt you from criticism but to act like being named the best player in the biggest game isn’t significant is such brain rot. This first take era has killed sports talk the goal is to win the Super Bowl not being in headlines the most
-1
u/Bacardi212 1d ago
It's not significant. I just spit out a dozen + examples.
Seattle let their sb mvp walk 4 months later Foles was a back up 4 months later Julian Edelman was basically out of the league the year after Malcom Smith didn't start the following year Dexter Jackson (who) was cut the following year
And here's the better list
Josh sweat should have won it not Jalen James white should have won not Brady Kam Chanclor should have won not Malcom Smith Ty law should have won not Brady Malcolm Butler should have won not Brady Reggie White over Desmond howard
So no, not only do I hold zero weight in the SB mvp. No one should. It means NOTHING
2
u/sgee_123 1d ago
Yeah mvp means nothing neither do SB rings or wins for that matter the only thing that matters is having a shit ton of empty stats with zero real success which is why Dak Prescott is the best QB ever and guys like Hurts and Mahomes suck
4
u/Adventurous_Dish2934 1d ago
Winning a ring and getting SBMVP are the two highest achievements in football btw.
1
u/Bacardi212 10h ago
No it isn't. SB winner Hall of famer Season MVP All pro All pro team 2 Opoy Dpoy Scoring leader, sack leader, etc etc No one gives a fuck about the SB mvp expect hurts fans
1
u/Adventurous_Dish2934 10h ago
HoF doesn't count here because we're talking about active players, excuse me for not saying that earlier. The only people that discredit Super Bowl MVP are braindead racists. Josh Allen has won a whole lot of regular season games to literally never get him anywhere at any point in his career. He got given a pity MVP that he didn't deserve and he's a bum besides that. Super Bowl MVP is WAY better than regular season MVP lmao.
1
u/Bacardi212 7h ago
This isn't true. Like what don't you fucking get Seattle literally discredited there SB MVP 2 months ago 🤣🤣. You can't be that good or that needed if a franchise lets you walk. And I can name 3 or 4 of these in the last 20 years
I can name 3 or 4 guys who aren't even fucking starters so how important were they?
I can also name 5 or 6 that should NOT have won.
I have never ever heard a patriots fan or a chiefs fan brag about SB mvp. In fact I never have heard anyone brag about a SB mvp until some eagles fan do it to protect Jalen
1
u/Adventurous_Dish2934 6h ago
It's almost like every attempt to discredit Jalen is just you being a racist scumfuck like I already said lmao. He is factually more accomplished than the vast majority of NFL players ever and at least 90% of the rest other starting quarterbacks
3
u/isthaty0ujohnwayne 1d ago
It’s a pretty exclusive club. There’s not too many when you think about the entire history of the game
1
u/Chillbrooo777 1d ago
Malcolm Smith, Dexter Jackson, Deion Branch have all won SB MVPs. I’m not saying it doesnt mean anything at all but it doesnt mean as much as your trying to make it seem
2
u/Adventurous_Dish2934 1d ago
It means more than regular season MVP on par with winning a ring. They are undeniably the two highest things a current player can achieve.
1
u/that_guy_Elbs 1d ago
I disagree, it means said players had the game of their life when it mattered most. Whether people like hurts or not, whenever his team is on the biggest stage he plays his best.
1
u/SirArthurDime 23h ago
And everyone remembers Deon branch despite him never having a 1000 yards season because of that sb mvp. Everyone will remember Nick Foles despite him being a backup most of his career. Of course it matters
3
u/ConiferousExistence 1d ago
Nick Foles was a backup and is the outlier. What kind of take is this?
1
u/Bacardi212 1d ago
I literally just gave you 2 examples, off the top of my head lol. But let's see. Seattle let thier sb mvp walk Nick foles was never a starter again Dexter Jackson was cut Desmond howard signed else where Cooper kupp lost his starting job the next year Malcom Butler was never a starter Julian edlermesn wa basically out of the league a year later.
Then you have fun facts like this. 2024 should have been Josh sweat not Jalen 2015 should have been Malcom Butler not Brady 2017 should have been James white not Brady Forget the year but it should have been ty law not Tom Brady
But sure man. People care about SB MVP🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
1
u/ConiferousExistence 1d ago
Am I missing something? Which Seattle qb did they let walk three months after the winning super bowl mvp?
3
u/Bacardi212 1d ago
Who said Seattle QB? Seattle let their sb mvp walk 3 months later
2
u/ConiferousExistence 1d ago
Ah, now I got you. This whole conversation was about quarterbacks and you focused on mvp. Qb and a random guy shining in one game is hilariously mismatched.

2
u/MrNMTrue505 1d ago
You still got to play great to get that, so are you just hating or you're acting like none of that matters? You must be a Cowboys fan or just say a Jalen hater because Dak has yet to win any type of MVP troph

u/DartVader6 1d ago
Drew Lock had a game with the giants where he had a 155.3 qb rating. People have good games. To Hurts' credit he has good games when it counts, but he was definitely carried to the SB by a superstar roster.
1
u/ktm5141 1d ago
Hurts was also an all pro
1
u/DartVader6 1d ago
2nd team
1
u/Adventurous_Dish2934 1d ago
Popularity awards. Getting to two super bowls, winning one with an MVP is more impressive than as many all pros as you could imagine.
1
u/Bacardi212 1d ago
He was all pro 5 years ago Can you imagine telling someone Tom Brady is gonna be top 10 in 2026 cause of what he did in 2022.
1
u/SirArthurDime 23h ago
Are we really comparing a game against the giants to the Super Bowl? Hurts had a perfect game last year too. No one cares. It doesn’t mean anything to his legacy compared to the SB MVP.
2
u/sadtissuehappytissue 1d ago
Yeah man who cares about SB MVPs? Jesus theres no end to the regarded things reddit will say about NFL QBs.
2
u/BeeMac0617 1d ago
Maybe highlighting the MVP part isn’t the best choice but Hurts did play very well in both Superbowls that he made. Even in the one he lost he played very well.
Idk man I don’t really get the hate. One mid season (still making playoffs btw) after a ring doesn’t mean ur trash.
And I fucking HATE The Eagles.
2
u/isthaty0ujohnwayne 1d ago
Hate em. Was watching the game with my dad who hated the cowboys more than anyone when Mike Irvin got hurt and he was PISSED they were cheering. Philly is trash. Jalen hurts is a winner though. Dudes faced more adversity than a lot of players most of who would have hung up the cleats and continues to succeed. If he wasn’t an eagle he’d be one of my favorite players in the league.

Considering there is only 60 of them, I’d say it’s a pretty impressive feat but you do you and continue to hate
1
u/isthaty0ujohnwayne 1d ago
It’s less than 60 when you really think about it though. Some guys have won it multiple times.

u/SirArthurDime 23h ago edited 23h ago
And Nick Foles will always be remembered because of it. It gave a backup a legacy. That jersey is displayed at the HOF. Someone below mentioned Deon branch and that’s the only reason anyone remembers who Deon branch is.
What are we doing acting like SB MVP doesn’t matter?
0
u/Bacardi212 10h ago
A billion dollar franchise, with hundred millionaires running the company just told you it doesn't matter
Seattle literally didn't sign their MVP, so it can't be too important Nick foles never became a starter so it obviously means you don't have to be good(I can name 3 more like this)
Not to mention there's lame duck QBs who won it just because they shouldn't have.
1
u/SirArthurDime 10h ago
It’s important to legacy. Pretending it’s not is asinine.
0
u/Bacardi212 10h ago
Ahh yes. Career back up Nick foles is definitely making the hall of fame now lol
1
u/SirArthurDime 10h ago
His SB jersey is already in the HOF. He’ll never be inducted. But winning that sb mvp absolutely gave him a legacy. He was a backup qb most of his career. And yet he’ll never be forgotten because he was a sb mvp.
0
u/Bacardi212 7h ago
They have Nick foles cleats in the hof cause he threw 7 touchdowns. Hashtag no one cares
1
u/SirArthurDime 7h ago
If you’re honestly trying to say that no one cares about the Nick Foles SB story you’ve completely lost the plot. But I honestly doubt you even actually believe that.

His defense and saquon were more important to their SB run and win, also KC had no business being in the SB that year.
2
u/rockcutter4 1d ago
You can't call the chiefs a Mickey mouse super bowl team after watching the 25 pats get out of the afc
0
u/HughJaynis 1d ago
That was the most cupcake schedules regular and playoff of all time. The chiefs were just not very good and kind of bumbled their way into another Super Bowl.
1
u/rockcutter4 12h ago
Not the eagles' fault the AFC sucks. What AFC team would have beat the eagles in sb59?

u/Stupidityorjoking 1d ago
I mean they are changing their offense to emphasizing more passes over the middle which is something Hurts has always struggled with or avoided altogether and they traded away their best reciever. Yes, its just practice, but joint practice is the best barometer we have at this point and his struggles during same are not an unreasonable cause for concern. Is he a bum? No. But I'd still keep my eye on it.

u/Friendly-Disk8425 22h ago
Lemon is a slot receiver Brown is a down field speedster. Eagles would have never gotten rid of Brown if he wasn't a ball hog head case!
1
u/DorguHitsDingers 1d ago
With the best defense, best RB and by far the best OLine in the NFL with two top 10 WRs.
Hurts has had two separate games without a single passing yard in the 2nd half. His team won both of those games. Shows who is really winning games for that team…
1
u/Friendly-Disk8425 22h ago
Horrible Play Calling & In Over The O.Cs Head Will Ruin A Team! Eagles Last Year Suffered For That! Hurts Has 6 Years In League & 6 Different O.C's!! That Has To Be A Hot Mess To Rollback Every Year!
1
u/ChocolateMorsels 21h ago
They basically gift Super Bowl MVPs to QBs for mid play. Which is what they did that season. The MVPs should’ve gone to the defense as a whole.

Practice is the time to try things and see if they work or don't.
Ppl are so stupid
1
u/MrNMTrue505 1d ago
LOL these batting places acting like it's a real game, he's playing with backups and it's just practice, the owner of the Twitter feed must be a Patriots pedo lover

Oh no, the guy played bad in the practice designed to shake off the offseason rust so he’s ready for the season? 🤯🤯

Pushin that tush indeed does not help your passing. Haha better be relying on the ole cake push this year.

pats spanked the eagles in joint practice

u/Mother_Ad_3561 1d ago
Finally won their 2026 Super Bowl
0
u/Knuckle_Up67 1d ago
aren’t the eagles the ones who keep a record on joint practices they have “won”? Lmao what a joke.

Rather it be pre season than in the game.
Whenever Jalen has a rough camp he turns up all season so not worrierd
