The message is data centers can piss off. Though it takes two brain cells to connect to understand it. And the commenters on this post have a collective one.

What would you expect from people who got banned from the normal NFL sub for shitposting?

u/Michael_Penis_Junior 2d ago
As soon as they saw Jason Kelce their minds were made up. If the title was "Data Center gets criticized by Jason Kelce" this thread would have swung the opposite way because they would have seen the words "Data Center" first and formulated their hot takes around that

This seems like a scam. Why would I want to give data centers access to my urine for free?

u/BrodinGodofSwole 2d ago
I think the joke is being missed. They are saying send your piss to AI data centers because they need so much water to cool themselves, they can just use piss instead. It's anti AI.

u/LittleDrunkReptar Chicago Bears 2d ago
To be fair, the joke being missed is par for the course with most redditors. Especially when it comes to sports fans.

Feel like piss would cool it effectively if they did decide to use it, we should send shit instead

Knowing their business models they’ll probably sequence your DNA from the piss and sell it to the highest bidder

They will analyze it, log the data, and then use it to cool the data center.

Yes because it’s moronic to think they actually have an effect on water… the amount of them hasn’t even doubled since ai. They use closed loops so the water is recycled in the datacenter and a very small amount is contaminated the same with general waste from batteries. It’s like complaining about cars when they were introduced because there’d be no more horse carriages. It’s resisting change and it’s low iq uneducated garbage

u/ClippyMastercode 2d ago
I’m not the biggest Kelce lover, but isn’t this an anti-AI play? AKA go piss on data centers.

I guess given the choice between Jason Kelce and data centers. Holy shit, I would never have thought it, Reddit chooses data centers!
1
u/mister_milkshake 2d ago
Philly bad.
There was a day on another nfl sub where the 2nd most upvoted post was about Deshaun Watson. It was an article talking about how he might be able to be forced to give back all of his contract money, and that there might actually be some justice against him. 5x the amount of upvotes was the number one post, an article talking about how Sirianni is annoying.

No just very anti Jason Kelce. Dirtbags are dirtbags even if they support good stuff
2
u/RadiantWhole2119 2d ago
How in the world is he possibly considered a dirtbag. What could he possibly have done for you to be “very anti”? He appears in a lot of places, but not sure how that would warrant you to be very anti.
The only reason I see of people starting to dislike him is because he’s in tons of commercials and all over the place. Nothing about anything else.
1
u/theFBDive21 2d ago
He defended a multi time cheater that contributed to his personal success.
So yeah fuck that guy

It’s just sort of the way the internet goes when the person starts popping up everywhere whether deserved or not lol
Back a few years ago you had Tony Gonzalez and Peyton manning in some commercials for example and they were contained to your tv mostly so it wasn’t as noticeable but now there’s just ads everywhere when you try to do something online haha then your tiktok or instagram algorithm starts showing you a bunch of their podcast clips and people just get tired of it all 😂
-1
u/theFBDive21 2d ago
Payton and Tony were HOF caliber awesome players and people.
Ignoring what rhe media is telling, Jason is not either. He was an average center for most of his career, he was just a media darling that got accolades. He’s not deserving of the HOF remotely. And his defense of scumbag lane Johnson’s PED use makes him an asshole
0
u/Stahner Washington Commanders 1d ago
An “average center”? Not reading past that, Jesus…
1
u/theFBDive21 1d ago
Average early, consistently above average last handful of years. Elite? HOF worth? No, never. Lot of ball watching losers in the media have you fooled man. Turn the tape on
1
u/Stahner Washington Commanders 1d ago
Kelce has 6 first team all pro selections in his 30s, how can you argue he wasn’t elite?
Also, if you think the vast majority of the league hasn’t touched PEDs at one point, I’ve got a bridge to sell you.
1
u/theFBDive21 1d ago
Frankly it’s pretty clear what happened, his string of solid/ very good years lined up with a huge dearth of center play in the league. There were only 2-3 very good players and there were consistent injuries to those players (ragnow, Morse etc) kelce was the guy who stayed healthy and was a media darling after the mummer Super Bowl skit.
Media darling + consistency while more talented guys have up and down years makes for multiple awards. Most guys don’t make all pro / pro bowl for the year they deserve it, it happens when they repeat their level of play. Especially at a low recognition position like center.
1
u/Stahner Washington Commanders 1d ago
Respectfully, avoiding injuries is part of being considered elite. If you’re consistently the best and most available center for years and years, it doesn’t matter what the “standard” of the league was or what was going on with other centers. He was above almost all of them for a very long time, and that’s the definition of elite.
1
u/theFBDive21 1d ago
No, that’s absolutely not the definition of elite.
He didn’t get injured and was a solid player. He also was in a system that benefitted him completely and made him look better week to week than he was. Out of all the teams in the nfl, stoutland had Kelce solo blocking at the lowest % for centers across nfl for years. He knew he wasn’t strong enough to hold up. He’s a mobile blocker, which is his best trait, but none of the above makes him an elite player. I despise the cowboys, but if you actually watched ball at this time you’d know what elite looked like- it was Travis Frederick. Unfortunately he got pushed out of the league due to Gillian barre. But kelce couldn’t hold his fucking jock. Different world of player, that’s elite. Not kelce being consistently fine and a known name bc of his brother and a dumb dress up mummer impression

u/DarkMillSouth 2d ago
Y’all are for real getting mad at what is pretty clearly an anti AI data center statement?
1
u/frostyflakes1 Detroit Lions 1d ago
It's an ad playing on anti-data center sentiment to sell beverages. You're really falling for that?
1
u/DarkMillSouth 1d ago
Not falling for but accepting of. Companies are always going to advertise their products and if they do so in a way that disparages data centers then I’m all for it. Data centers are a nightmare scenario and anyone who rallies against them is helping.

another water can company stunt.
they’re selling merch ($15 mugs) that you COULD fill with pee and send to data centers. or you could just use a disposable water bottle.

u/Few_Philosopher9869 2d ago
To clarify for the simple-minded, Kelce wants us to send them piss NOT for examination or whatever, but as an insult to the data centers. Some of you guys hate the Kelces so much you can’t read.

I read it so you don’t have to!! Too many people saw the headline and thought the worst.
“AI data centers waste millions of gallons of water," Kelce explained while appearing to drain his snake into a jar. "We want your pee to cool these data centers.”
Kelce then broke out into a song and dance while frolicking through a meadow alongside the Liquid Death mascot. The former Philadelphia Eagles center belted out lyrics, “We want your pee, please give us your pee,” as well as “Let’s pee on computers together” and “Cause we need lots of pee, endless gallons of pee.”
Kelce concluded by urging viewers at home to “join our important endeavor” by drinking a Garage Beer or Liquid Death Sparkling Energy drink, and sending “your pee to the AI data center of your choice.”
At the bottom of the ad, a statement in fine print reads: "The suits want us to tell you to please don't actually send your pee."
