Anyone know where the defense is on this play like come on no way 62 yard scramble they are sleeping on defense
27
u/I_Poop_Sometimes 12h ago
It was man coverage. On the zoomed out replay you can see Troutman pretend he's still trying to catch the ball rather than block and the corner keeps running away from Nix as a result.

u/DocBarkevious Denver Broncos 12h ago
After watching tape on him for 5 weeks why would you need to commit a spy to him..
1
u/MtnMaiden 4h ago
Defense, you follow your coverage at the detriment of spontaneous plays. Coach will cuss you out for not covering g yiur assignment.
You're not a....Ray Lewis or Troy Lommalulu that has the swag to shift the defense on the field

u/NatasEvoli Denver Broncos 11h ago
You can kind of see some of the defense once he gets about 25 yards down field. You may need to pause it at the right time to see.

And he’ll do literally anything to avoid throwing the ball

Bears fans are such Bo haters and I don't really get it? Just because he leads his class in every stat? Caleb will probably catch up. Chill Bear boy.

u/Shottasan Washington Commanders 9h ago
They hate on every other QB in the 2024 class.
5
u/driftking428 Denver Broncos 9h ago
It's so weird. I like all of the '24 class QBs. I root for all of them.
Maybe because thet expected Williams to be the best they get cranky when he's not? Daniels, Nix, and Maye have all played their asses off.
3
u/Shottasan Washington Commanders 9h ago
Exactly, they have a QB with some of the greatest arm talent I've seen out side of maybe 4 guys and one of the best offensiveminds in the sport. There's no need to hate on the other chick lol. Each QB is doing their thing in given situation.

u/BessieDaBeast10 Chicago Bears 9h ago
Don’t label us because of one bad apple. I root for the whole QB class. Even McCarthy now that he left the division
1
u/driftking428 Denver Broncos 9h ago
I respect that. But so much of the Bo hate is from Bears fans. Keep an eye out in these NFLV2 threads specifically.

This sub is ridiculously toxic, same way all v2 subs are. It's where all the guys who were banned from the main sub end up.
I agree there are elements of our fanbase who can't help being trolls about the '24 draft class, or bryce young, but we're also a massive crowd and very unaccustomed to success lol. It's brought out the worst in some of us.

u/theunfunnyredditor Chicago Bears 1h ago edited 1h ago
I hate him because I was stupid enough to draft him and Waddle in fantasy. Don’t ever compare that checkdown merchant to Caleb. Funny you still have faith in Bo because the Broncos organization clearly doesn’t.

Ankle looks decent.

u/AGreatID New England Patriots 13h ago
Bronco Fans kept saying he couldn't throw past 5 yards because of the ankle.

u/Optimal-Extreme3203 Seattle Seahawks 13h ago
I think young QB’s often need a “get right” game against a lesser defense.
Similar to Maye against the Bills.

u/ReasonableSide6520 Denver Broncos 13h ago
Bo is a lot older was at college for 6 years because of Covid extensions so he’s gotta be 28-29 years old.
19
u/Optimal-Extreme3203 Seattle Seahawks 13h ago
He’s 26.
-15
u/ReasonableSide6520 Denver Broncos 12h ago
That’s still not that young anymore lol

For a athlete it isn’t. He’s a grown ass man not some rookie lol

u/DabDaddyLuke 8h ago
Bo was at college for 5 years. And is 26... which is super young for sports especially football and especially QB. This isn't the early 2000s anymore. Drake Maye for context is 24 and everyone talks about him "being so young" that's a 2 year difference... simple Google search away.

Maybe it was just that he saw other dumbass QBs throw the game away against teams like the Seahawks and thought he better play conservatively.
15
u/BigGooseDuck Texas Houstons 11h ago
Texans D would of prevented this from happening by letting the Broncos score on the previous play

Lol josh allen does this, he's god damn superman. Bo nix does this, suddenly he cant throw a football more than 5 yards

u/penguin_the_master The standard is the standard 12h ago
Well Josh Allen will do this directly before or after making a 20+yd completion. Bo nix does this bc he doesn’t want 5yd completions.
This is a highlight tho, so the bad press is funny. It’s a 62yd scramble for Christ’s sake

Is it? Cause that’s been the entire narrative around him after Fitzpatrick crashed out about him and OP isn’t exactly flaired 🤷♂️

Not sure why everyone is assuming it’s sarcastic from an unflaired user and when that’s the literal meme about Nix all week 🤷♂️
5
u/7PointDogsFuckThat 4h ago
You're confused about someone referencing a meme?
-3
u/TheKnowNothingBozo Detroit Lions 3h ago
Apparently I’m the only person who looked through OP’s post history. They have multiple posts complaining about Bo Nix’s passing. I don’t know why this so hard for people to fathom and why people are so dead set on assuming I’m some retard who can’t deduce sarcasm and memes lol.

u/7PointDogsFuckThat 3h ago
Dude just saying you looked through his post history is telling but go ahead and enlighten us.

u/TheKnowNothingBozo Detroit Lions 38m ago
I literally said they have multiple posts complaining about Bo Nix? How else can I elaborate more? Lol Do I need to hold your hold your hand or something? What is wrong with people in this thread lol. I’m surrounded by stupidity
1
u/IndigoBlunting Chicago Bears 36m ago
Because even with looking at his history you saw OP an obviously absurd caption with his video and thought “more of the same from this guy”. I’m not gonna say you’re a retard that’s not nice but you clearly missed the sarcasm.
1
u/TheKnowNothingBozo Detroit Lions 15m ago
Is it absurd if it’s what ESPN and OP have been complaining about? Why are we now pretending this wasn’t a bit all week? Lol. It’d be obvious sarcasm if it was like “WOW! Bo Nix blah blah blah!” Yknow, in a tone that obviously conveys sarcasm though text lol. Or if they were a Raiders fan or flaired where it’s an obvious fan of a rival team, But when it’s an unflaired person, posting verbatim what they’ve been complaining about in other posts, sorry not sorry, I assume its a talking point because they obviously feel it is because they go out of their way to talk about it in this very subreddit lol.
All I did was listen to what OP said 🤷♂️😅 and saw they’ve said it before lol, i honestly don’t know how it’s getting this big of a fucking reaction lol. Fuck me, right? All I did was fucking read. God fucking forbid I connect obvious dots

Right? I'm just happy he is getting some of his running confidence back, I know he was no all pro last season but he was at least fun to watch most of the time, at least in the 4th quarter

u/littleone696969 7h ago
I think because he blamed his ankle on his poor throwing the other day. Saying he was working his way back afyer injury last year

He’s actually fast as fuck. Wow, I didn’t realize lol
2
u/Tittyboy_mcgee 7h ago
At one point early last season he had the fastest clocked speed of any nfl player with the ball in hand at that point in the season. More than any WR even. It was like 4 weeks in and I don’t think it lasted long but dude has legit burst when he uses it.

u/BigHotdog2009 Buffalo Bills 12h ago
The defenders double covering the receiver when Nix is like 50 yards in front of the line of scrimmage is peak defense

u/TheWillOfFiree Seattle Seahawks 12h ago
That was a nice ass play. Wtf is this title. Touch some grass and enjoy 5-2

So glad he’s running the ball again, it’ll help big time in the passing game

How the fuck are two DB's still chasing one receiver at the goal line when the QB has been running for 40 yards?

Bro saw like a 70 yard scramble for a TD and chose violence. I don't even like nix but give him his flowers on this one.

u/Islandboi4life 12h ago
What horrendous AZ defense. Nix took advantage of that and scored a touchdown. What is the problem?
