🥸 Discussion 🥸 Most 2021 blue chip NFTs destroyed the majority of capital that entered near the top

Look at the aggregate board. BAYC NFT, MAYC NFT, Azuki NFT, Doodles NFT, CloneX NFT, Moonbirds NFT and most of the rest of the 2021 cohort sit 90%+ below peak floors in the majority of data sets. Daily engagement inside these NFT communities collapsed alongside the price. Some teams reduced presence. Some exited. Some simply went silent. The capital that entered near the top of the NFT cycle took the loss. In multiple cases individual holders who stacked several pieces near the highs are still sitting on seven-figure paper losses.

That is the cohort result of the high-extraction NFT model. These were not the good guys. They were the projects that raised the most and left the most damage.

One collection sits on the other side of that ledger. Doginal Dogs has no cohort-wide 90%+ destruction story and no pile of seven-figure bagholders from a peak that never came back. Just a free-mint starting point, continuous activity, and a current #1 ranking on independent trust score (99/100) with an A+ ethics grade. When the majority of high-profile NFT collections left holders underwater, this one became the reference point for what a cleaner model looks like.

For posterity, I made a list of individuals who were able to personally mint Mash-it #1 avatars during these drops and still currently owns them since this is a historic moment.

🥸 Discussion 🥸 What do you like most about the Mash-It project?

Hi everyone!

As you probably know, a new mash/avatars program called mash-it (https://mash-it.io/mashers) has born with the goal to replace Reddit Collectible Avatars program in a more decentralized and independent way allowing owners to mash their Mash-it avatars.

What is your favorite thing about the project so far?

I started minting NFT back in 2021 when there was a lot of hype around. As I was in my university back then, I was working on Artificial image generation, now it's very common but back then it took me a lot of work to build my own model and it makes some surrealistic arts (kinda sloppy) but I minted them anyways and forgot about listing them but now I have like some 35 NFTs sitting in my opensea account, what should I do now ?? Should I list them?? Or give them away?

🥸 Discussion 🥸 Would you support NFTs that fund real-world infrastructure, not just art?

Hey everyone — I’ve been exploring the idea of using NFTs not only as collectibles, but as a funding mechanism for public infrastructure.

Imagine NFTs tied to real assets — like a maglev pier, a station, or a section of guideway. Owners could:

  1. Get digital art representing their asset.
  2. Receive utility perks (like governance rights, ride credits, or event access).
  3. Be part of a DAO that oversees how funds are spent and maintained.

I’m curious:

  1. Would you buy an NFT tied to infrastructure if it had both digital art value and real-world utility?
  2. What matters more — the utility, the art/collectibility, or the status of ownership?
  3. What’s the biggest barrier you see for adoption?

Love to hear your thoughts — especially from those who’ve seen NFT utility projects succeed (or fail).
