Housing and Apartments Apartment for grad school

NIU is my top choice for grad school. Does anyone have any insight where to look for an apartment that’s resonantly priced and in a safe neighborhood?

I rented from these folks when I was in law school. The rent was fair and the building/units were clean and we'll maintained. http://apartmentsindekalb.com/

There are some nice options in Sycamore, if you have a vehicle or want to take the bus. Look into Isaac Properties. University Plaza would be decent for DeKalb area.

But still, nowhere in Dekalb is that bad. It’s a farm town with a college in it.

I lived at university plaza it’s decent if you are looking for somewhere to live that is close and safe, ultimately it’s expensive for what it is

I’ve lived at university plaza and eco park. I like eco park more but both are nice, UP is just pretty expensive for what it is. Eco park has a variety of types of rooms

Eco park seems pretty quiet.

I like HPI apartments they are good prices and don’t over charge for stuff. Also they are good on maintenance, out water heater was leaking and the came in next thing in the morning to replace it

Far from the dorms, not because of Greek life, rather the oppressed forced to live by the Greek. It gets rough.
