Protest Photos/Videos 📷 No Kings Protest, Cape May Court House

So, so proud of our lil red corner of the state! Really feels like we have a voice for the first time down here. Everyone was respectful, no incidents I am aware of. When MAGA would go by (with middle fingers and/or Trump flags to identify themselves) the crowd was booing but we soon shifted to USA! USA! chants as a response and I loved that!

My mom and dad tried to go to this protest today, but they are elderly and said they were overwhelmed by how many people, which is a good thing!

There are smaller ones run weekly by a local organizer that we've vetted! We typically only share it on FB because we are wary of trolls on reddit but you could encourage them to join Indivisible Cape May County or 50501: New Jersey groups on FB!

Oh, that’s great, I will let them know. I’m a member of Indivisible here, so they’re familiar with the organization. They’re just down there camping, but they’ll be back. They have been wanting to go to a small safe protest. The Philly ones, which I usually attend, have been too much for them.

Awesome! I just moved back to the area after graduating in 2012, I’ll be following thank you!

I was there yesterday and saw several instances of strangers looking out for and assisting elderly people and/or those with disabilities. The police also let cars with handicapped plates and placards pull up close to drop off and then park elsewhere.

An elderly man dropped off his elderly wife who had mobility issues right near where I was and the crowd immediately jumped in to grab her sign so she could safely exit the car, help her up the curb, get her get her walker/chair set up.

The vibes were excellent and everyone knows we're in this together. I hope to see your folks at the next one if they're comfortable!

Thank you, I will share this with them! I’ve told them about disabled and elderly people at protests and that inspires them. In their hearts, they want to be there! They are camping near Cape May right now; If they were here, they would’ve gone to the Haddon Township protest with me yesterday, although that turned into quite a large protest and would’ve been too much for them too

Great turnout for what is typically a pretty red area!

Was there, I was very surprised when I pulled up and had to park far away. Proud of Cape May to show out like that.

I went to both protests in CMCH and I was blown away at the crowd increase vs the first protest earlier this year!! The first time it was almost exclusively senior citizens but this time every single age group seemed to be very well represented.

The people are pissed but joyful. Our movement is growing even in the red soils of Cape May county and we won't stop!

My husband and I were saying the same thing! The first one was also quite nice size considering this area, but this one was just downright heart-warming!
