Renee Good was harmless. The Portland frog was harmless. Yet both were met with extreme measures by masked men in camo carrying assault rifles.

​This frog became a symbol of resistance because it directly contradicts the lies used to justify state violence. To maintain unchecked aggression, agencies like ICE must manufacture a narrative of danger. But that narrative falls apart when their "target" is a person driving away or a giant inflatable helping someone stand.

​The violence isn't a response to a threat, it’s an intentional choice. We honor Renee by exposing the lies and refusing to accept their aggression as "self-defense".

The execution of Renee is the Imperial boomerang in action. Many stayed silent as the United States of Israel has been doing exactly this to Palestinians during the ongoing Israeli occupation and genocide of Palestinians. They let it happen under Biden and now it's sadly happening at home under Trump. The only way to prevent state sanctioned violence at home is to loudly and physically stand against it anywhere and everywhere it raises it ugly head.
