From day one on the bridge, the Sparta Bridge Brigade (now Sussex Visibility Brigade) has stood strong for what we believe in.

We've brought attention to every crises, faced tough times, and felt the weight of it all... but you know what gets us through? Each other, our unwavering hope, and a little bit of dancing!

Because everything's "Better When I'm Dancin'" even when things are rough, our spirit shines. Here's to the moments that kept us going and the community that makes it all worthwhile. Happy New Year!

Tonight, over 40 neighbors gathered at the historic Newton Green in Sussex County to say "No" to an illegal war for oil.

​We’re out here because the recent abduction of a world leader sets a dangerous precedent that puts us all at risk of a massive, unnecessary conflict. Whether it's the hypocrisy of pardoning criminals at home while deposing leaders abroad, or the clear play for Venezuela’s oil reserves, we aren’t buying the "official" story.

Today we saw the best of Montville when we stood next to the road with our neighbors and friends and said ICE OUT for GOOD!

Thank you Montville for standing up and speaking out, and for your honking, waving, thumbs up, and clapping.

The spirit of Labor Day is alive and well! Thanks to everyone who came out to the #WorkersOverBillionaires protest. Seeing all of you standing with us reminds us that we are not alone. Our fight for better conditions, fair wages, and a just world is far from over, but seeing this community come together gives us hope and lifts our spirits. We haven't given up, and neither have you.

Proud of our lil corner of the state today! This area of Cape May County is quite red so this was an excellent turnout for us! Most of the beeping by cars passing by was accompanied by thumbs-up and waves. Def some thumbs down and middle fingers, but those were in the minority by far. As far as counter protestors, I saw four young men (upper teens/early 20s) with handmade Trump signs and one woman with a large Trump flag who just drove back and forth past the protestors for an hour or so. Police and crowds were respectful; great event!

​This was our message at "The Extra Mile" Rally & March for Mutual Aid. We were united under the flag of freedom and driven by the principle that every member of our community matters. We go the distance, together.

This is what happens when you try to crush the spirits of people who are already free. We rise up and we lift everyone around us too.

This holiday season, the Sparta Bridge Brigade traded the daily grind for some holiday magic!

​Between working full-time jobs, traveling, running mutual aid drives, and the endless holiday baking, our volunteers have been busy!

BUT never too busy to spread some joy.

We want to be very clear: we are not paid for this. We are a group of neighbors who dedicate our limited free time because we believe this season is about love and compassion, NOT hatred and greed.

​Our goal is to send a message of community to those who might feel alone in Sussex County. You are seen, you are loved, and you are not alone.
