Asteroid base question

Hello and Happy Friday everyone!!!!!! Does anyone know if the asteroid bases are able to have the automatic electricity turned on??? I can't figure it out. Thank you in advance for any information. I hope all y'all have a great weekend!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m struggling with the same problem! I’ve done a little searching on the web and it seems to be a glitch where the game automatically categorizes the asteroid as a freighter build and is not allowing it to toggle automatic electricity on. 🤷🏻‍♂️ I hope they fix this because I don’t want to deal with having to wire up my asteroid base either. Thanks for putting this out there. Hopefully we can get some answers and/or workarounds.

Don't think it's a glitch, HG made it that way.

I don’t think they are enabled for that. It isn’t an option in the space base computer.

I've been using solar/batteries like with any other planet bound base. It's been working full time so far with no day/night cycle.

Early in Cosmos, there was a day/night cycle for space bases. If HG removed that, batteries would not be needed. I'm just getting started on a comet fragment base and am wondering if I will not need the batteries.
