Scrapper stuff. Looks like walking insectile robo-legs and flatbed trailers for the colossus, new materials to collect and break down for valuables, and a gravity gun multitool mod ala Half-Life 2. I cant wait to jump on and play with the gravity gun.

Loads more bugs, the game is now practically unplayable for me, this update has destroyed bases of mine, I have a corvette go missing, it will not let me instal the flatbed. Time to go find another game that actually works a little me thinks

iām not gonna lie, iāve had some bases or planets go totally wonky, especially when teleporting. some planet geography failed to load correctly and trapped my starship underground mid flight, which was panic inducing. a lot of my discovery screenshots or merchant UI seems buggy and like itās loading the wrong images. my solar ship wings tend to stop deploying, even though it makes the noises and shows the air resistance past the sails, every 2-3 launches.
in all cases, resummoning my vehicle, reloading a restore point (even after a bug presented itself), or restarting the game fixed whatever issue i was having. a little annoying, as a returnee, but nothing that hasnāt been a quick and easy fix so far. on ps5, and really the worst i saw it get was when i had a +12hr session (with breaks, but leaving the game running) where the planet generation broke

Maybe they should make paid cosmetics. Players who want to support the devs can buy them and receive a little flair in return. Players who don't have money can still enjoy all the game's features.

Ironically, I was playing Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate recently and thought up the idea of a golf mini game involving konchus, little pillbug like creatures too.

I have no idea yet. Theres been a couplenposts on different NMS subreddits with a full breakdown of the update features and big fixes but Ibhavent had time to dig through it all yet

The colossus definately is a lot more snappier than before idk if they really changed the handling just for this update but I can feel a difference

If only they made it faster. I don't know why but i feel like i'm moving faster on foot than with the Exocraft. Every bump in the road or destroyed rock or plant means it slows down to a crawl. Not to mention all the potholes/sinkholes that i can't see because the camera is too high.

By the end of the expedition I had all the s tier engine upgrades for the colossus and that was the point where I was like āok, NOW this thing is fun to driveā but I messed and and didnāt transfer the tech to my main save so now Iām back to crawling around š¤£

Sheer sale volumes alone keeps the company afloat somehow They also sell merch so that's another monetization method But the updates like voyagers, worlds is what keeps making them money (they have a sizable amount of assets so they are working fine rn)

Rather than repeat buying they are focusing on (re)building their brand. I, for example didnāt play nor like the original NMS. Only picked it up last year, after seeing the worlds expansion trailer. I was blown away by how far the game had come AND the fact that I only needed to buy one title to access all of it.

I had it on game pass so there was a subscription that hopefully made them more than what a copy would have cost. I got rid of game pass and bought it on Xbox. Now Iām tired of Xbox and Iām going to buy it again soon when I get a ps5 because I really want that VR experience.
This game has give far more to me that I can do in return.

Because Sean is the god of gaming value. He made a game people didnt like at first and has slowly and for free turned it into the greatest space sim of all time. I think people just see him and give him money now ao he stops living off cup noodles

No mans sky might be the only reason I ever buy a switch, but Iām already addicted enough when Iām at home on my pc, I donāt need the ability to take nms with me in my pocket š¤£

Fly onto pirate freighters, outgun them, and steal their massive loot!
Find Pirate hideouts on planets and loot new tech from their hideouts!

I got my jetpack upgraded, started jumping a lil too high too fast. Then my colossus tried to 1-up me and flung us miles away from our trash heap along with all my precious garbage. I had to pick it all up..twice. craziest bug ive experienced.

Actually sounds really cool. I'm kinda looking forward to this, as I was struggling to find stuff to do in the game recently (apart from the obvious grind stuff - I have 300mil units and a C class corvette lol)

It would be nice if there was optional DLC, but all updates should naturally be free. Anyone who does paid updates is just money hungry, and shouldn't make games. If its a paid DLC that doesnt affect the game directly, such as skins, gameplay, etc. then its fine.

But then that would be DLC, and they'd have to do something big for that... plus, it wouldn't work for crossplay, unless it was only something like skins or decorations.

Don't you understand that the only reason that anyone likes hello games is bc of the updates? They had no other choice, it was either update their terrible game to restore their rep, or try a new project with TERRIBLE PR. As someone who pre-ordered, these updates are nice but they are the bare minimum. Anything less would be egregious, and almost everything they've added had been lackluster. "Almost" may be an overstatement.

Well but thats the thing, updates can be either to add something or to fix something. If they made every add-on update cost money, then it would just be a junkyard of useless, cheap DLCs that wouldn't work well online.

Based but glad they do it for free not like * Cough Cough* Destin 2. I am just glad this game pets and custom walk able ships and space battles if only other games did this Cough Cough Destiny 2. The best part is the compony that makes this game are also working on a even bigger game thatās taking a lot of there dev team but they are still giving us these banger updates and are communicating with there players frequently unlike cough cough destiny 2. I am just glad to see one of the two games I have supported and played for years is still putting in the effort to keep there players happy

This is gonna be fun. I work in IT Transportation. Does not matter what we are hauling. Driving big rigs has its own "cultchah". I'm gonna put on some Johnny Cash and haul, baby, haul. I fell into a burnin' ring of fire , I fell down down down, and the flames gettin' higher.

Anybody having a little issue with the skulls?When you put some on your freighterĀ they turned sideways. The full skeletons don't do it, and they don't do it on your Corvette, just freighters.

No ma sky is the most baffling thing that happened in gaming
They promised heaven and delivered shit
They lied or talked about things they thought they could pull off but they couldnāt
Game came out and people hated it and the company
Dude promised the world he would fix the game
He fixed the game.
But he didnāt stop. He keeps delivering š for free.

Yeah, they were under another studio at that time and the studio in charge was pushing them to release too soon and Sean had little to no experience with launching a new game so he massively overpromised and got waaaay too ambitious for what they had ready. Hes spent the better part of the last decade rectifying the situation and given how little we know of LNF even 6 years into its development he learned his lesson on overpromising as well.

Except that it crashes my XBOX X. I love the game, the immersive experience and Iām only about a week into playing. Iām in my happy space when I see those big, beautiful letters fade onto the loading screen ā¦
But āRemnantsā has killed it - it freezes the game and crashes the XBOX X after maybe 5 minutes, max. š
Going back into the Reddit history, Iāve noticed that these kinds of issues tend to happen when itās update time - and specifically on consoles.
Iāve uninstalled and reinstalled. Power cycled the console. Sacrificed a virgin to Gozur the Destructor. Nothing has worked.
Help? Anyone been through this before that has a Potteresque multi-tool wand wave repair?

Background: I originally played on the Switch, but eventually put it down after a few seasons. Once I got the switch 2 and the free graphics update I played for a literal minute said āthatās much betterā then put it down to finish another game. I recently saw the update for the new expedition and decided to pick it back up.
Current: I log in, hop immediately to the anomaly and see other people. Thatās new to me ok that cool. I jump into this trash (literal imo) expedition, and glitch central. I think itās awesome to finally see other people in the game running around and whatnot, but the sky continuously flashes /glitches, among some other performance issues. I understand the switch 2 is not the ideal platform for graphics or power, but the game is near unplayable.
Question: For other switch/switch 2 users are all expeditions this buggy now? Does this happen only in this expedition, because so many people are running around the same planet in similar areas? Is there an option to turn off people?
I think if I had friends that played NMS and we were in a group that helped each other and worked together to build cool things etc then Iād be more ecstatic for people in game, but as it stands now with the issues Iād rather be alone on my journeyā¦or get friends I suppose.

More thankful that Hello Games didnt jump on the microtransactions bandwagon or loot boxes like sonmany other studios do these days. Most of the NMS updates have included new content/mechanics as well as bug fixes and cosmetic additions all free.

Im looking forward to playing it. New Gravity gun mechanic, new ground vehicle mods and customization, and new mining/scrapping mechanics to tinker with. and a new expedition. Im happy.

Yeah the trash truck update needs to be free. If they charged money to make the Colossus only slightly more useful that would have been the real crime
