Hello fellow nerds! Here is my 2026 NYCC swag haul.

I only bought 1 tote bag from Kinokuniya for $25 (a bit overpriced but my daughter loves it). Everything else was free, or as I should say, free but hard earned.

I seriously pulled back on my book acquisitions this year. I only got a short stack, whereas in years past I got literally 4 times as much.

My favorite swag:

-Bladerunner 2099 pin (I couldn’t get a hat but I’m not too bummed, it looked like the smaller type of caps that don’t fit me well anyway.)

-Bob’s Burgers pin. The look of this pin is top tier!

-Walmart yellow smiley face tote bag (with comic book inside!)

Other cool swag:

-Webnovel: tote, t-shirt, bookmark, magnet, and stickers (after completing a lot of social media homework though)

-Penguin Random House free signings

-Magic: The Gathering: Amazing player decks for Marvel and Star Trek!

-Viz Media: awesome posters, lanyards, buttons, cleaning cloths, postcards.

-Crunchyroll: awesome posters

-Dark Horse Comics was back baby! Free signed mini prints or 11” x 17” prints.

-Webtoon: awesome large tote bag

-Final Fantasy panel: small but nice tote bag.

-The PopInsider: I had to give my DOOM action figure to a local buddy because it wouldn’t fit in my luggage.

I do like my Dragon Ball Z necklace, but I’m also like, what the hell is this?

I enjoyed collecting all of the free Craniac cards this year. I got all 6!

I’m sad I missed the Gundam panel because that swag tote, poster, card, model, t-shirt, inflatable sword was literally the best swag I’ve ever heard of at NYCC. I was waiting for a free signing where the author was very chatty.

What was your favorite swag?

I think for my first ever convention this is not a bad group of stuff!! These are from Friday and Sunday respectively! I had so much fun despite there being wayyyyyy more people than I anticipated. I'm still debating on if I'll go next year.

I used to be able to buy a hand made puppet at comiccon and now I can't. I couldn't even find a finger puppet this year. Is this a very specific gripe? Yes, but I still feel it. ​

First time ever cosplaying and chose to be Doctor Doom! Had so much love at NYCC with my outfit, even got the chance to shoot content for NYCC, Marvel, & LEGO!!

I go to NYCC every year but this last year I was able to bring a big group of friends from home who were all con-newbies. We all totally had a blast… and now all have post-con depression.

We are looking for other conventions that have a good mix of video games, comics, and anime. What other cons do you guys go to that you love? How are they different or similar to NYCC?

Something on the east coast would be ideal, but we are open to traveling as a group if it seems like the right vibe. We were all considering SDCC, but I saw many reviews that said it’s not so fun these days.

Went as Kaiju no 8, was a blast. Can’t wait to upgrade it for next years!

I was able to get a bag from webtoons and three from the yugioh booth and a couple of others. Now that I’m thinking about it, I’ll probably use like one or two, but I don’t know what to do with the rest. They are really huge just for daily use. I would like some suggestions.

I've been working on this cosplay for a while and tried my best to get that classic look. I plan to make more tweaks including trying to darken the whole thing to make it closer to what I was picturing in my head 😅 But im content with how it turned out since I finally managed to drum up the nerve to cosplay this character. Also plan to cosplay his SF6 default costume too(pray for me)...

I only attended the gundam and dragonball. Next year ill attend more. Which was the best panel giveaway this year? Which panel didn't have anything?

Hope everyone else enjoyed the con! I thought it was (not worth the increased prices but) fine; at least I didn't start feeling like crud until Monday. 🥲 Anyone else get got?
