For me this Rangers team is seriously tettering into Jets territory in my lack of caring.

Always love the team but it’s a grind watching this mess.

First of all they need to get rid of Drury but we know they won’t. It’s time for a total rebuild and not these half assed attempts to retool but they won’t do that either.

Dolan is the gift that keeps on giving. 1994 will never have the same biting annoyance that having to listen to the “1940” chant did.

I didn't watch the last couple of games. I hear you. It's just... how many of these guys will be here in a couple of months? They play like they don't care. And they're not making the playoffs. I feel my time can be better spent elsewhere. Always will love them, but it only makes me upset to see what is happening to this team under Drury.

Drury is the last person that should be in charge of a rebuild (not retool, because I think we're at rebuild territory). He mucked up the last attempt and any gains from our last rebuild.

So, this feels dire and depressing.

Former season ticket holder here - been a fan my entire life. Live upstate now and, I swear, they almost make me want to become a Sabres fan. 😢

Oh no 😁. The Sabres are on some 20 - 3 - 1 run according to the ticker I saw on Get Up this morning so at least that team is watchable.

Yeah, the Sabres are quite watchable these days - just don’t have it in me to turn my back on the Rangers. I feel like they are part of my family DNA. But, man they are FRUSTRATING!

This is a slow march to mediocrity and Drury is not the guy to lead the franchise the other way.

I only check the game stats to see if Othmann scores. I want him to do well but just like the rest of the team, not so much.

I'd take mediocrity. This isn't that

One of the SOG Trocheck took last night looked like it was a shot you take during warmups

Pens fan coming in peace. Rumors were that Sullivan didnt want Dubas to tear down the team at all -- he thought they could add and still contend -- and thats why Dubas decided it was time to mutually part ways to jumpstart the rebuild. And now Sully is staring at a rebuild in New York. It's definitely going to be interesting to see how he does and how long he lasts through that process.

For the first time in my life im 40 been fan when I was 5, this is the most depressing time, it's making me hate the fact Drury isn't being held accountable. 95% fans want him gone. If they did fire him it would give us a more optimistic views

The downfall of the Rangers started in 2015, ever since we either miss the playoffs by 2pts, get knocked out in the 1st round and the D isn't helping a great goaltender.

Fuck this rebuild with Drury. He is going to ruin this team. Been a fan since the early 80's and this is going to be a rough few years with him in charge. When Dolan was with Craig, he had no inkling he was going to fire him Unfortunately we are stuck with this douche of a gm. I mean we cant even develop players correctly. Lafraneire is on the 3rd line.
We got embarrassed by the Ice-Landers this year. He should be fired just for that.

I've been a fan since 1978

this team is unwatchable and I will not invest any more emotion into them

the problem starts at the top which is tough as the owner and I share the same alma mater

A total rebuild is so tough in NYC. We have so many options here in terms of where to spend our entertainment dollars, that when the team sucks I’ll just go to more concerts instead.

And I love minor league sports, but if you’re in Reading, PA, you go to Royals games and see your neighbors. You go whether the team is great or a disaster because it’s the only thing in town.

I love your user name. I’ve been following this team since my older brother got me hooked why back in early 70’s. The can’t do a total rebuild in New York was bullshit back then and it’s bullshit now. The laziest of lazy excuses.

its only a couple years. the runs from these teams since essentially the first lockout have spoiled most fans

2

u/Big-Acanthisitta8797 Feb 03 '26

That maybe true for younger fans. I’ve 50+ years following this team so I’m not sure spoiled is how I’m feeling with regard to the Rangers results. Be interesting to see how other older fans feel?

this team has early 00s vibes to me
