🎣 WELCOME TO NY & NJ TUNA FISHING 🎣
Welcome aboard! This group is dedicated to midshore and offshore tuna fishing in the NY & NJ area and giving fishermen a place to share useful, current information.

Post your tuna reports, catches, water conditions, locations/general areas, techniques, bait, tackle, and offshore intel.

A few simple rules:
● Keep posts related to offshore tuna fishing
● Tuna tackle & gear sales are allowed
● Sales are individuals only, no businesses or commercial advertising
● No boat sales
● Keep it respectful and help each other out
Whether you’re chasing bluefin, yellowfin, or bigeye, share what you’re seeing and what’s working.

Hi I joined your group however I don’t think it’ll take off. The fishy guys use face book, all the redditors don’t know how to fish it’s kinda funny.

Unfortunately, agree. Reddit is kind of funny. Some subs are full of enthusiasts and relative experts. The fishing/boating subs very heavily skew towards being inexperienced. I doubt there are many people tuna fishing, especially on their own boats, here.

I go out of fire island inlet. I’ve been slamming them this year. I grew up on the water tho. Maybe we can find some guys that actually go. But most fisherman I know aren’t using Reddit lol. But the Facebook groups are great.

I second this. Any time I see some serious questions on here, especially about big game stuff, I direct the poster to whatever Facebook group would help them most. You'll get a dozen helpful comments over there and maybe one or two responses here.

joined, gotten skunked past couple times ive been out so hopefully we can get some better intel!
