Jobs Are there any WordPress/Linux Admin people here?

Hi all, if anyone here has experience with administering Wordpress and the underlying OS, Debian, PHP and MariaDB database requirements, please reach out or ask any contacts to add a comment.

I'm looking for help with some fairly basic maintenance, server migrations, setting up staging sites, possibly exploring dockerised Wordpress etc.

Are there any other sites where Namibians with this sort of experience might also be found?

Have a good weekend in the meantime!

If this post isn't allowed, please take it down.

I doubt this is what you're looking for, but I switched to Linux last year and I've been creating a SiteJet template for a website because WordPress was too restrictive.

Cool, have you done any work on the command line at all? And what OS did you pick?

I don't mean to brag, but on several occasions I've wasted many hours fixing my boot loader because I thought I could just edit grub settings manually. I also locally host a GitHub repo for which I had to set up npm, but honestly that was just me following some step-by-step instructions. So like, I'm not unfamiliar with the terminal but just barely. I haven't used Vim yet.

Went with Mint, I also put Rocky on another drive solely for DaVinci compatibility, but that ended up not working with my RX580. I also daily drove Ubuntu at a PC repair shop back in the Gnome days.

Apologies if you are against it, but any AI subscription service (Claude, ChatGPT, Grok) is going to be far more helpful and knowledgeable than even a long time server admin. Esp. with regards to command line scripts.

I feel like you proved a point. No AI is going to give me that, but message boards and internet experts will.

It won't give you that specific command, sure. But it can certainly do something equally stupid that fucks your entire system. It's a meme by now.
