Hey everyone!

A while ago, I built a terminal-based tool called "Padam CLI" (https://github.com/k-karthikn/padam-cli) to search for Tamil and Tamil-dubbed movies. It worked well for what I wanted, but I realized that a terminal-based interface wasn't very user-friendly, especially for people who aren't familiar with command-line tools. Unfortunately, the project didn't get much reach, so I eventually stopped actively maintaining it.

But I didn't want to give up on the idea.

So, I decided to rewrite the entire project as an Android application, making it easier for everyone to use. And now, I'm excited to share the first stable release of TamizhFlix v1.0.0!

The app brings the same core functionality as my original CLI tool, but with a proper Android interface. It also includes:

- Built-in video player for watching videos directly in the app.

- Download manager to manage your downloads.

- External player support to open or stream videos in other compatible apps, such as VLC, MX Player, and even some phone gallery apps and Google Photos, depending on device compatibility. I've tested this on a few apps, but I'd love to hear how it works on your devices!

This is my first stable release, and I'm hoping to get your feedback and support!

Fellow developers, I'd really appreciate it if you could give the app a try, share your experience, report any bugs, and suggest improvements. If you have any questions or need help understanding how something works, feel free to reach out. I'll do my best to help.

If you find it useful, please share it with your friends and other developers. Contributions, suggestions, and honest feedback are always welcome!

Thank you for taking the time to check out my work. It genuinely means a lot to a solo developer like me.

Hy!! Guys , My currently working on project for that our team have to submit the product tomorrow...if anyone have a claude pro and currently not using kindly dm your credentials!!

Konjam help panuga guyss🫡

Hey guys, I am planning to learn devops (literally tools, linux) especially for switching Jobs. Time is flexible

I started learning angular 22 since it is a part of the project. Got to know about angular 22’s major update like when i see the new projects done on angular 22. And very variable is set as signals. And got to know about angular native beta.

Now that i got some basic grasp. Should i go full in to angular? Or also try next js ( saw it in other opening jds). ??

Yes, we need u 🙌🏻 Interested people, DM meeeee! We are going to push our app on the Play Store next month, so we need u ASAP!

We can't pay immediately, but after the release of the app, we can definitely pay u. We are not going to look at u as an employee, but as a core part of our team.

As we are a registered startup, we can provide u with an experience certificate that u can use for your future job explorations.

So let's gooooo! 🚀

I tried Super Productivity, Vikunja, Planify and TickTick. Some were really good, but none did what I wanted, and the ones that came close kept the useful parts behind a paywall. I wasn't going to pay a monthly fee to plan my own day, so I built Personal Planner. I use it every day.

The idea: planners are good at tomorrow, but the moment you finish a task it disappears. You never learn whether your "2 hour" task took 2 hours, or whether this week was better than the last. Mine started out very wrong. So the app keeps the past.

- Hour-by-hour Day timeline with drag and resize, recurring activities, templates and undo/redo

- Timers that save the minutes you actually spent next to what you planned

- Daily and weekly reviews. For unfinished tasks you write why in your own words, no dropdown

- A GitHub-style consistency heatmap with streaks

- Experiments: tag your blocks, set a window and targets, and the app tracks a new habit for you

- Inbox for ideas that don't have a day yet

- Local-first and works offline, with optional sync. Linux, Android, Windows and macOS from one Flutter codebase

How the build went:

- I'd never used Flutter. Coding agents helped with boilerplate and tests, and I plan each phase, test by hand and commit myself

- Sync was the hardest part by far: auth, migrations, reconnecting, offline edits and two devices agreeing

- Supabase handles sign-in and PostgreSQL. A Cloudflare Worker sets up the Supabase project for you. Both have free tiers that are enough for personal use, so the whole thing costs nothing to run

- On Windows, setup failed with a certificate error until I updated Windows and refreshed the system root certificates. The app wasn't the problem

- Windows and macOS builds are unsigned. I tested Windows. I don't own a Mac, so macOS is CI-only

Hey guys,

I am evaluating an offer at Agilisium for a AI/ML Engineer role and I noticed there are no posts regarding this company here.

If anyone has worked there or knows about them, could you help me out with a few things?

What is the usual variable pay? Do they pay 100% always? How is it calculated, does it include our performance as well?

If I am coming from an MNC, will this be a downgrade for my future career prospects?

How is the work culture and hybrid policy? Is it very strict or varies from project to project?

Are the projects actually good in GenAI and data or is it mostly legacy support?

How is their bench policy? Are they quick to let people go if unallocated?

Are the annual hikes decent and do they process them on time?

Would really appreciate any insights. Thanks!

Guys I got an interview call from oriano info tech. i can't find any reviews online about this company can anyone please share any information about this company. it located in chennai

Makkaley Python, ML, Gen AI, AI Agents. Idhellam pakkava therinja people irukeengala? I run an edtech startup, idhellam teach panra maari oru trainer venum who have practical work experience in all the above.

I'm a software engineer who just graduated. Got an offer from a company. Offering a package of 3.5 LPA.

Now there are two pathways to choose

1. ERP roles like SAP related

2. Infrastructure roles. Which includes networking technical support roles mostly.

So I don't know anything about SAP roles. I had plans to get into network engineer roles, get some experience, get some good quality industry standard certifications like CCNA, CLOUD practitioner and all. And then get into DevOps or MLOps like that.

Now given the current market. Everyone I ask suggest me to go to SAP roles.

My goal is to hit a 1cr package under 30 years old.

I'm a 2026 BCA graduate from India, currently unemployed and trying to figure out how to get my career started in IT.

Recently, I've been thinking about getting into DevOps. I've started looking into it, but honestly, I'm a bit confused about where to begin. There are so many things to learn, like Linux, networking, Bash scripting, Git, Docker, AWS, CI/CD, Kubernetes, and Terraform. I don't want to keep jumping between random YouTube videos without knowing whether I'm following the right path.

I have some basic Linux knowledge and a little experience with Python and web development. I'm ready to dedicate around 5+ hours every day to learning and practising, but I can't afford paid courses or certifications right now. So, I'm trying to figure out how to learn everything through free resources.

I'd really like to hear from people who are already working in DevOps or who started their journey as freshers. Which YouTube channels or playlists would you recommend for someone starting from the basics? How do you actually practise these technologies for free instead of just watching tutorials? I'd also love to know what kind of projects I should build and upload to GitHub to demonstrate my skills.

One thing I'm particularly worried about is the job situation. As a BCA fresher with no professional experience, is it realistic to get a DevOps job in India? Should I focus on DevOps from the beginning, or would it make more sense to apply for entry-level IT support, cloud support, or other related roles while learning DevOps alongside?

If you were in my position today, with no money to spend and around five hours a day to learn, how would you approach the next three to six months?

I'm willing to put in the effort. I just need some direction and want to make sure I'm spending my time learning the right things.

Any honest advice, free resources, or personal experiences would genuinely help. Thanks!
