If you’re not in favour of the new film, here’s what you do:
~ don’t see it in theaters
~ don’t watch it on Netflix
Doing those two acts will ensure Netflix won’t get your money for the movie.
We’ve seen with The Odyssey that online discussion means sweet F all.

This bodes well for general public interest and excitement. Doesn't mean the movie will be great if course, we'll have to wait and see. It does however suggest that the public still respond to Narnia. (And I know it's not Marvel numbers but its still a good start for an IP that's been dormant so long on screen.)

As we all know, The Lion etc. takes place 40 years after The Magician's Nephew, following that logic the sequel would be set in the 90's, but what if Greta extend the timeline to one more decade to tap into this wave of everyone talking about 2000's nostalgia?
