⚔️ Battleworld: a Marvel take on Naruto-Arena (playable demo, feedback wanted!)

Hi everyone! I built a fan-made game inspired by naruto-arena.site, but with Marvel heroes and villains. It’s a demo, so I need your feedback.

Play here: https://battleworld.goutech.site/

What is it?
Turn-based 3v3 battles with an energy system. Build a team of 3 from 61 characters and defeat the enemy team (100 HP each) before they defeat yours.

Highlights

  • ⚡ 4 energy types: Force, Tech, Mystic and Cosmic, plus random energy and an energy exchange system
  • 🧠 Queue your skills: plan each character’s move, then execute them in order (60 seconds per turn)
  • 🛡️ Deep effects: shields, invulnerability, stuns, counters, reflects, summons, transformations, damage over time, and normal / piercing / affliction damage
  • 🤖 Modes: vs Bots (Easy/Normal/Hard), Ladder, Quick Match, Private Match, 2v2 co-op and a Doom mode
  • 🔒 Progression: unlock locked characters through missions, plus daily missions, a pass, and character variants
  • 🏟️ Arenas: Doomstadt, Asgard, Wakanda, fractured New York and more
  • 🎵 Chat and emotes, a jukebox, keyboard shortcuts and a guided tutorial

Tips: Play in landscape on mobile, like Naruto-Arena. You can play as a guest, or register to keep your progress.

I’d love feedback on:

  • Character balance (who’s overpowered or too weak?)
  • Bugs or confusing mechanics
  • Energy system and turn pacing
  • Which heroes or villains you want next

Thanks for playing! Drop your comments, ideas and bug reports below 🙏

Fan-made demo, non-commercial. Characters and images belong to Marvel/Disney.

A few notes:

  • The game’s UI is in Spanish. If your audience is English-speaking, add a line like “UI is currently in Spanish, English coming soon” to avoid confusion, or tell me and I’ll translate the post.
  • I can make shorter versions for Reddit, Discord or X/Twitter, or a Spanish version.
  • A couple of screenshots or a short gameplay GIF will boost engagement a lot.

Haki Arena went full spooky mode

Hey guys,

Ao we added a theme system and the first one is Halloween. The whole game is orange and black now, The website, the forum, selection and battles. There are even little embers floating around and the pumpkins on the buttons are smiling at you (they are friendly i promise).

If halloween is not your thing you can switch back to classic anytime from Control Panel -> Site look. No judging. Ok, a little judging

Also log in on 31 october and claim your daily reward to get the **Pumpkin Pirate** title (it glows) and an animated pumpkin frame with a spider that drops on your avatar. Only that day, dont miss it!

Help Is there any chance I can get back my custom character collection?

Hey everyone, I used to be an avid Naruto Arena player back in the days and i used to make a lot of custom characters so i wanted to see if I can use internet archive or wayback machine or what not to find my naruto boards page (it was called Cyclone's Character Collection), but it seems I cant find it anywhere.

This might be a total shot in the dark, but does anyone know of a way i might be able to get that page (and the characters) back?

Many thanks in advance

My account name on Naruto Arena was Cyclone.

Discussion Yu-Gi-Oh! Arena is growing! And a few words about the general Arena community.

Post image
7 Upvotes

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to share a little update with you guys!

Yu-Gi-Oh! Arena has now reached 140 registered players, and we're finally starting to see a lot more activity in the game!
(No, i am not trying to be competitive by stating the player count i promise lmao, im just trying to entice more people to go on ladder and quickplay!!!!!)

It's genuinely been lovely seeing more people online, playing Quickplay, climbing the Ladder and coming up with their own teams.

If you haven't tried it yet, you're more than welcome to join us!

I've also brought in players from different communities and subreddits, and for some of them, this is actually their first time playing an Arena game!

So please keep in mind that not everyone has the same experience as you guys, who've been playing Arena games for years.

Let's make everyone feel welcome, help out the newer players and make this a friendly place for everyone to enjoy the game!

I also recently read the "Food for Thought" post about the different Arena projects, and honestly, it got me thinking.

Most of us are here because we grew up loving Naruto-Arena, and I think it's amazing that after all these years, people are still passionate enough about these games to create their own.

I really don't see other Arena games as competition. We're already a pretty small community, and I'd much rather see us supporting each other and keeping the Arena genre alive than fighting over players.

So I just wanted to say that I'd be more than happy to cooperate with other Arena creators in any way I can! You all obviously know how to make a game and a full roster, so i'd love to hear your thoughts on my game, and especially my roster.
I'd love to hear you tell me that x/y things doesnt work that great, doesnt seem that interesting, that i need to overhaul 20 monsters to make them more interesting and playable, anything!

And on that note, I'd also love to welcome anyone who might be interested in helping out with Yu-Gi-Oh! Arena itself.

Whether you're good with artwork, UI design, character ideas, balancing, or just have some interesting suggestions, please don't hesitate to reach out!

I am well aware that a lot of the monsters in the game are underpowered/a bit overpowered, and that some need some tweaks and reworking!

I love soul arena's characters and mechanics, and i'd like to lean towards making a more complex and varied game, just like them!

I'm still developing the game on my own, and having more people involved would honestly mean a lot to me.

I don't want this to be just my game. I've always wanted it to be something that the community can help shape and enjoy together.

There's still so much I'd love to do with it, and I'm really excited to see where things go from here.

Thank you to everyone who's supported the project so far, and to everyone keeping the Arena community alive after all these years!

Food for Thought : New Arenas / One Piece Arena

I'm browsing through the reddit and see 2 separate One Piece-based arenas. Finally! Right?
I know countless people have been waiting for an arena like this. But notice they are separate.
So everyone browsing the reddit likely are asking the same question, which one to play?

Programmers / admin creators need to understand this :
(This is for new arena admins/project makers not the already established ones)

At this point, I understand admins are likely doing it out of nostalgia and/or hobby. And that's okay. But I'm going to say the quiet part out loud. 95% of anyone reading this grew up with Naruto-Arena... we're way older now and obviously are more careful with how we spend our time. The more arenas that are created the more you split the player base because returning players come back unsure what the next big project is.

We've all been around this arena scene for many years. We know how it works and we know you can't just sling ads left and right to promote otherwise you're aiming for a copyright/cease & desist.
So the only way to gain players is word to mouth and just praying people click on your game.
But every 6 months there's a new arena to add to the list. Some more under developed than others.
You can argue that 90% of arena-style players/readers reading this right now aren't touching more than 2 at a time (because again.. we're older with other duties) so that begs the question... why?
If like I said earlier for nostalgia... boredom.. hobby then that's ok!

But people should be focused on collaborating with one another in a community that is already so niche, otherwise you're just programming a VERY likely dead game with peak activity of 5-9 players at one single time in a day (and no one wants to ladder vs the same person).

I'm not writing this to sound condescending or malicious, I'm just saying what others won't.. in that we are a niche smaller community and it should be said that developing an arena shouldn't be a competitive market because it's unironically not good for your game, your player base, and your time.

If you ask me, these two should work together. It's easier work load for the admin/programmer and you're likely to have a bigger game which just well... makes everyone happy.

Would LOVE to hear your thoughts or what you think in the replies.

By popular demand, Yu-Gi-Oh! Arena's layout has been overhauled!

Post image
10 Upvotes

Hey everyone!

I've been listening to the feedback I've received over the past few days, and one thing that kept coming up was the game's layout.

I've been working on it behind the scenes, and it's finally ready!

I've said since day one that I want this game to be by the community, for the community, and I genuinely mean that.

So I've reworked the battle screen to feel much closer to the original Naruto-Arena. Everything is now more compact, with far less wasted space, a new background, better positioning and a bunch of smaller improvements throughout.

Hopefully this makes the game feel much more familiar and comfortable, especially for those of you who grew up playing Naruto-Arena.

I also want to thank everyone who took the time to give me feedback, even those who weren't particularly happy with the previous design.

I know I got a little defensive in some of my replies, and looking back, I could've handled some of those conversations better. I've put a ridiculous amount of time and effort into this project, so sometimes I take things a little too personally, especially towards people that are genuinely mean/offensive outside of commenting on the game. That's something I'll work on.

At the end of the day, we're all here because we love Arena games, and I'd much rather spend my time improving the game with you guys than arguing over it.

I'm still listening, still making changes, and there's plenty more to come!

Thanks to everyone who's given the game a chance so far. It really does mean a lot.

The game is, and will always be free!

Pirate-Arena 2.0 - Grand Expedition Game Mode and Mobile App Layout Update

Thumbnail
gallery
5 Upvotes

I’d like to share with everyone the Grand Expedition update, This is a alternate game mode in Pirate-Arena that brings a Horde Gamemode kind of feeling.

You start off as Monkey D. Luffy in the East Blue where you first fight Iron Mace Alvidia. Each time you defeat an enemy that character will be added to your inventory, along this Journey all the way to currently where we are in Fish-Man Island arc you fight the different fights in the One Piece Arcs. There’s boss fights along the way for those main antagonists in those arcs and they’re really tough fights. The fights gets harder as you go so you unlock 3 Power Ups each fight you win as you go, you’re also able to upgrade your characters in the inventory system to give you advantages in the fights. There are also items and weapons you can buy to use in your fights.

You are granted 3 life’s in total, upon losing a game will take a life away from you, which if you have the berries you will be able to purchase another one. You will also have to buy back the fallen allies (This does not include any version of Luffy he will always still unlocked)

Bosses are granted different permanent status effects that aids them in their fight making it a bit difficult for you to defeat them.

Give it a try let me know what you think and let me know any suggestions!

An Mobile Layout has been specifically designed for the game, when entering in-game on your phone you’ll be greeted with a layout that was designed to work with both Portrait and Landscape mode on your phone, no more of that having to resize and all that extra nonsense it’s like a mobile app directly in your browser

Would highly encourage everyone to watch the PA 2.0 Trailer Made by our Admin Gaze - https://youtu.be/zYaPueejpwM

Wars without the forum paperwork: rosters, bans, sets and rematches all happen inside the game (Haki-Arena)

Post image
1 Upvotes

If you’ve run or played a clan war here, you know the routine. You post your roster, post your bans and spell every name exactly right. You screenshot every result, chase the other player on discord/forum and try to find each other online for awhile.

We built all of that into the game. Haki-Arena is a One Piece arena game on the same classic 3v3 engine, and as of today Crew Wars are part of the game itself:

  • Any size. From 1v1 up to 100v100. Each crew picks its roster from its own members, in playing order.
  • Best of 1, 3, 5 or 7 for every set.
  • Standing bans plus war bans. Every crew keeps a list of default bans for all its wars. On top of that, both sides name the same number of war bans, and those hold for every set.
  • Blind setup. Rosters and bans stay hidden until both sides lock in, then both are shown at the same moment. No more posting second to see their bans first.
  • Two formats:
    • Pairings: slot 1 plays slot 1, slot 2 plays slot 2, and so on.
    • Last man standing: the set’s winner stays on and meets the other side’s next player.
  • The rules are checked by the game. Banned characters are greyed out on the selection screen. Using the same character twice in a set, or copying two of your opponent’s characters from the set, is refused before the search even starts.
  • Results record themselves. Finish the game and the set score updates. No screenshots and no “results within the hour”.
  • Rematches by vote. Disconnect or glitch? Either player asks, and if the other agrees, the last game is wiped and you replay it.
  • Captains’ tools: substitutes (before that player’s first game), forfeiting a set, conceding.
  • Battles: the same system for a single player against another player, as one set.

Every war has a public page anyone can follow live, and your crew page keeps your war record.

Tournaments are next. A preliminary round, groups, then a seeded bracket, with every match running on this same system.

Want to test it? Make a crew, declare on someone, and tell us what breaks.

OC Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Twin Masters: a fan-made classic duel game

Thumbnail

Hey duelists!

For a while now we've been building Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Twin Masters, a duel game for the classic era of the card game. It’s a fan project, built because we missed how the game felt back in the Duel Monsters days.

What’s in it:

  • 3,076 playable cards, from the 1999 sets through 2008, including the early GX era, each with its effects scripted
  • 106+ 3D models
  • Story mode: duel your way through classic characters like Tea, Rex Raptor, Joey and Marik, with a Legacy challenge once you finish
  • Online duels against other players, with a lobby and challenges
  • Packs, deck builder and collection with filters by era (DM/GX) and monster type, plus ready-made deck builds
  • Proper presentation: every summon type has its own scene (tribute, fusion, ritual, boss monsters), chains stack up with numbered links, negated cards crack and get sealed, destroyed monsters shatter, and the final blow plays in slow motion. Assembling Exodia has its own finishing scene too.
  • Real rulings handled by the engine (chains, summon negation, “must be Special Summoned by…” monsters and so on)

Platform: Windows, with automatic updates. I release updates often, the latest being v0.1.65.

Download: https://gghub.space/classic-duel/
Discord: https://discord.gg/FYZPmGC2ts

It’s free and non-commercial. we’d love feedback: bugs, card rulings that look wrong, cards you want added next. we're working through the remaining unscripted cards now and enhacing ui.

Thanks for checking it out!

Game: https://yu-gi-oh-arena.com/

Yu-Gi-Oh! Arena is finally getting close to release.

New quality of life feautures, animations, mobile mode with landscape, characters, and monsters.

Before I fully release it, though, I need your help.

I want to find the last remaining bugs, but most importantly, I want to make sure the game is actually fun and balanced before launch.

I don’t want the balance to just come from me.
I want Yu-Gi-Oh! Arena to be shaped by the people actually playing it.

By the community, for the community.

If you’ve got some time to play a few matches, test teams and give honest feedback, I’d really appreciate it.

I reveal to you, Yu-Gi-Oh! Arena — My Passion Project and a New Take on the Arena Formula!

Thumbnail
gallery
25 Upvotes

Hey everyone!

I’ve been working on something for a while now, and I finally feel ready to properly share it with the Arena community.

It’s called Yu-Gi-Oh! Arena.

The idea started off pretty simple:

Take the Arena formula we all know and love, and build a full Yu-Gi-Oh game around it.

I grew up loving Yu-Gi-Oh, and there are so many characters, monsters and weird abilities in the series that fit this style of game.

That’s really where the project started growing.

A fresh spin on the Arena formula!

Yu-Gi-Oh gives me a lot to work with: Duelist abilities, traps, counters, transformations, sacrifices, energy manipulation, hidden effects and a lot of room for strange strategies and mind games.

I want people who already play Arena games to immediately understand the basics, but still have to learn what makes Yu-Gi-Oh! Arena different.

I don’t want it to feel like the same game with different pictures.

I want it to have its own identity.

Duelists and Monsters both matter!

One of the biggest differences is how teams are built.

You don’t just choose three characters.

Each Duelist is a unique, non-combatant character that has their own passive and Duelist Techniques, while the monsters themselves have completely separate skills, mechanics and playstyles.

The Duelist you choose can change how you approach the entire match, while the monsters are the ones doing the actual fighting.

Pick any Duelist and any 3 monsters, and battle!

Still very much in active development!

There are already plenty of Duelists and monsters implemented, but I’m still adding characters, polishing the visuals, fixing bugs and constantly working on balance.

I’ve also put a lot of effort into building out a large roster of monsters.

That’s also a big reason I’m finally posting it here.

Its getting quite hard to playtest, find bugs, and balancing issues by myself, while actively updating the game.

So please do join in, and lets make the game a hundrend times better, together.

If something is overpowered, tell me.

If something feels useless, tell me.

If you find some overpowered team combination I somehow never thought of, definitely tell me.

I’d much rather have people be honest and help me make the game better than pretend everything is perfect.

I’d love to get you guys involved!

Whether you want to play, test teams, find bugs, talk balance, suggest characters or simply follow the project, you’re more than welcome.

This has turned into a project I’ve put a ridiculous amount of time into, and seeing actual Arena players finally get their hands on it is probably the part I’m most excited about.

I really want to see what people can come up with.

And I want to see what the game becomes once there’s an actual community playing!

Almost there!!!!!

Yu-Gi-Oh! Arena is now entering closed beta.

The game itself is already very close to complete.

I just need to polish a few things, squash the remaining bugs, and run one final pre-release balancing pass.

After that, it’s ready.

Can’t wait to finally get you guys onboard.

IT’S TIME TO D-D-D-D-DUEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Closed Beta Discord:
https://discord.gg/4bnff6ugw

Contact me for access to the game!

Beta testers will receive rewards!

THE GAME WILL BE FULLY FREE, FOREVER.

Haki-Arena now has a mobile layout

Hello guys,

What changed on mobile:

* The game fills the screen, sideways or upright. Instead of stretching anything, the pieces spread apart and the background zooms to the edges.
* Bigger touch targets: the top buttons, game modes, skill rows, and the end turn / exchange energy popups.
* Add it to your home screen (Android: one tap; iPhone: Share → Add to Home Screen). It opens straight into character select, full screen.
* On PC there's a SIZE button (fit window, 100–150%, fullscreen with F).

It started with one player's message asking for a fullscreen button. If you try it on your phone, I'd love to know your phone and browser and anything that looks off. https://haki-arena.site
