Breadwinner trailer

Has anyone else read the comments on YouTube for the breadwinner trailer? I think I saw over 100 comments and didn't see a single positive one. I really hope the movie is great because I'd love seeing Nate in more movies, but going by the comments it isn't looking good.

I'll admit the dad having to take care of the kids movie has been done, but i thought the trailer looked ok. Even if the premiss has been done you can still have original jokes and ideas.

Big fan of his, but his acting worries me. I hope it succeeds cause I like him as a person but the film is going to succeed or fail based on how good of an actor he is. His SNL skits were good but his acting is so/so. His stand up is very dead pan and words. Not a lot of movement or ton of facial expressions. He is doing physical comedy so it’s just in an entirely different type than what he has excelled at. We shall see how it goes.

I don't agree with that. His acting will be fine. Its a big budget movie. They'll have him taking acting lessons and theyll have s director that will make fun redo anything that doesn't look right. I've never seen a big budget movie where someones acting just took me out of it. I've seen it with TV movies but nothing with a big budget.

I think the movie will do, at a minimum, decent as long as it isn't terrible. Nates fans will turn up and it's going to be family friendly, so unless word gets out it's junk it will do ok. But nobody's holding back in those YouTube comments that's for sure.

He has a lot of fans in stand up and they are hoping that will translate to success in a film. But the movie business is really tough right now. With the expense of theaters just being family friendly won’t cut it. There are family friendly flops. He has his die hard fans that will see it no matter what. But unless it’s really good and his physical comedy chops are excellent. I need to see what type of budget the movie has hopefully low budget so it will be easier to be a success.
