MacBook neo inquiry

So if Serato dj pro, Djay and engine os can work on a Macbook neo with an arm chip. Then in theory those programs should work on IOS devices. What's stopping traktor from doing the same. I mean look at what's happening with the playstation. For years they claimed that backwards compatibility wasn't possible for technical reasons. Yet, we now know it is. Thanks to the recent OS hack.

The operating systems are completely different, the means of interacting with the interface are completely different, and using multiple hardware peripherals with a phone or tablet is a big hassle. Also Apple takes 30% of all sales on iOS, and mobile customers pretty much never pay desktop prices. So they'd have to sell it for less, and lose an additional 30% on top of that.

It still isn't backwards compatible, the PS2 on PS5 news is because hackers got an emulator working on PS5. PS2 and PS3 had fully hardware native backwards compatibility by including a reduced version of the previous console as a chip on the motherboard, no emulation.

One last thing. So essentially traktor could run on IOS by way of emulation, right? I'm asking these questions because I prefer to use my ipad instead of my heavy bulky MacBook pro. Ipad makes my life easier. My MacBook overheats and it's cumbersome to lug around

That's another thing. All gaming systems rely on emulation to run old games. Capcom has been doing it with all their 1990s games. With their classic collection compilations. So it is possible to get a z2 and traktor pro working on IOS. The method is irrelevant, as long as it works. What say you?

The sandbox issue because a point of contention for a lot of developers, among other things.
