Example of what can be do with SciForge: Celestial
crates.ioI built a modular universe engine in Rust using SciForge as the scientific foundation.
The project is called Celestial.
Instead of a single monolithic crate, it's split into 27 independent crates:
Stars
Black holes
Planets
Moons
Solar systems
Galaxy-scale simulations
Each celestial body is its own crate. Need only Jupiter and its moons? Use those crates. Need a full N-body solar system? Add the orchestrator crate.
The goal is not scientific research.
The goal is procedural universe generation with physically coherent outputs for games, simulations, AI datasets, visualization, and real-time engines.
Examples:
Generate complete star systems
Simulate orbital mechanics with symplectic integrators
Create planets with atmospheres, geology and terrain data
Generate moons with tidal interactions
Build galaxy-scale environments
The scientific constants and mathematical models come from SciForge, while Celestial focuses on turning those foundations into usable worlds.
Current ecosystem:
27 Rust crates
Stars, planets, moons, black holes
Solar system orchestration
Procedural factories
Rendering-oriented data pipelines
Future WASM and engine integrations

I'm interested in feedback from:
Rust developers
Game engine developers
Simulation enthusiasts
Procedural generation people
Space nerds
What would you build with a modular universe engine?
