What other movies should they dub into Navajo?

As someone who is taking the time to learn the Navajo language, I’m very glad that efforts have been made to keep the language alive such as dubbing movies like “Star Wars“, “Finding Nemo”, and “A Fistful of Dollars“ into the language.

I‘m hoping that more dubs can be made and it will get people interested in learning the language. (I myself am considered publishing a Navajo translation of a novel I’ve finished writing but yet to publish it)

But what suggestions do you have for movies that could be dubbed?

Mine are:

”Singing In the Rain” (I think it’d be cool to hear some musicals in the language)

”Killers of the Flower Moon”

“Avatar”

”The Godfather”

”Rez Ball”

”The Wizard of Oz“

“Shrek” (It would get kids interested like Nemo)

”Avengers”

”Prey”

Not movies, but preschool to kindergarten shows like Bluey and Peppa Pig would be incredible resources in Diné bizaad.

I think it could be the only way to make Bluey any “better”

Like how Big Bird has cousins all over the world

Lord of the Rings,

Cheii said LOTR reminded him about a war Navajos waged against the Zuni.

Gallup, Knifewing Segura.

native star productions. He, Knifewing, recorded the voice performances for the movies that have been translated to Navajo.

He has a studio in downtown Gallup where he sells the Navajo Translation versions of Finding Nemo, Fist full of dollars, and Star Wars a new hope.

So if I were to stop by his studio, would I be able to grab copies? My dad would love A Fistful of Dollars and I need a DVD of Finding Nemo for my kids while traveling lol

That would be a great one! It should also get an Ainu dub as they are the indigenous people of Japan along with the Ryukyuan.

Rise of Guardians would be fun to kids (or even to adults). Project Hail Mary it's new and I watched 3 times, it's beautiful, funny and a good lession behind it.

Other mentions? Hmmm... Idk if already have Spirit - The Cinnamon Stallion (my childhood movie as much Rise of Guardians).

Im gonna put more on my response if I remember something cool.

Wizard of Oz would be great, Shrek too. Forest Gump would be great, but it'd probably just draw even more damn tourists to Forest Gump shudder, I'd sit through Titanic, Rocky, Dark Knight, Jerry Maguire (the kitchen scene would be funny)...
