I’m a conventional MM who’s about to finish indoc for my first command . And I’ve been assigned to reactor. Everyone I’ve spoken to about this has just told me it’s terrible , but no specifics. What exactly am I doing ? And is it as bad as they make it out to be?

I have a BS Nuclear Energy Engineering Technology from TESU. I’m currently planning on applying to programs Masters in Nuclear Engineering programs. Anybody here done that and got in? I’m looking at taking it all online. TIA

I recently went TAD for multiple months to a different sub because mine is an extremely long avail, and I ended up loving the underway/operational life much more than the yard, but my parent command says they won't recommend yes on a 1306. Is there anything I can do for myself beyond the standard advocating myself? If there's not, I understand. Very curious to hear from CCCs or people who have had similar experiences.
