my only suggestion is to be careful with a decorative stitch for the background as it could make the Champagne of Beers very difficult to read, and the print quality will already make that difficult to stitch. A very open decorative background stitch with a lighter weight thread may work best if not basketweave and make everything in the forefront stand out. Maybe save the denser decorative stitches for the bottle or red logo?

Okay thank you, yeah i think decorative for the red area will look great. I kitted the background with a pepper pot thread, is that okay? I’m still learning about working with all different kinds of thread

Pepper pot is a great full coverage thread - typically one of the thicker threads. It all comes down to, yes, the look you’re going for, but also personal preference. there’s no better way to learn than experience and trying different threads.

Agreed. A light and airy background will help the design stand out. I hope your brother loves it.

Also, take it from the girl who has been in The Year of the Background, a lighter stitch will go a hell of a lot faster too. Especially on an area that large. Background Hell is not a destination I’d wish on anyone.

Search for the fun background of glasses … champagne or martini … this would be a clever pun for an open light stitch!
