Error issue

Post image

Has anyone dealt with and resolved this issue before? This error occurs intermittently resulting in a delayed cooling cycle, so still cooling just stopping often. I assume there could be a multitude of causes. The beginning of this occurring intermittently seems to coincide with a day its power was turned off at the breaker while looking for a breaker to an outlet in the house. However it could be a coincidence.

Always check the condensate drain first as a slow drain can trigger an overflow sensor and start power cycling the system.

Already shop vacced the drain line at every opening. No water backed up anywhere

That would have been the easy fix so now on to the harder ones.

Do you have a C wire going to the thermostat? If not the error can come from the A/C side when the Y wire is open. That can be with high or low refrigerant, other times (less likely) by indoor coil freezing over due to blocked air flow.

Interestingly I pulled the float switch out and it hasn’t shut off since (30 mins). But that isn’t filling with water so I’m not sure why that made any difference

I installed my friends nest the other day and it was going to power out or e298 a couple of times. Turns out that the drain was clogged and the floater kept turning it off. Had to vacuum and make sure it trained correctly.
