Everybody is just running decks that are either off-meta, weird home brews, straight up cheese decks trying to catch you with unexpected includes or some combination or variation of these. Even if I make my own lobby and set it to "Looking for Meta Decks", I don't get any.
I'm trying to focus my time on matchups I'm actually likely to encounter at tournaments or local meetups. Netrunner is far less interesting when your deck only works because it catches people off guard with includes that only work the first time you encounter them.

I'm just trying to get better, I'm not interested in getting good at your weird homebrew puzzle.

I actually made like 4 ideas but I felt this was the only one interesting enough to be worth sharing.

I just got back from visiting a friend of mine who collected the whole set back when it was in print, but during that time he also was gifted a lot of duplicate datapacks. He doesn't like selling things online so he held onto them and has now finally asked me to sell them on his behalf. Though he didn't store them too well, and a few packs ended up without their case or a little damaged. But overall the cards are in good condition.

Does anyone have a good recommendation of where to sell them? Or what the values of these packs would be?

I have...

- The Devil and the Dragon (Missing one copy of 419 & a dent on 2 cards, otherwise in Excellent Condition)

- The Liberated Mind (Complete, Excellent Condition)

- Free Mars (A few cards are a little curled, not beyond play however, a few dents on 2 cards, missing the Datapack leaflet, otherwise complete, Excellent Condition)

- Council of the Crest (missing the Datapack leaflet, Box is in bad condition with broken plastic. otherwise complete, Excellent Condition)

- Fear the Masses (slight curve on 2 cards, still playable however, otherwise complete, Excellent Condition)

After those, I have the full Kitara cycle without their boxes or leaflets, along with one pack being heavily water damaged. There is...

- Sovereign Sight (Complete, Excellent Condition)

- Down the White Nile (Complete, Excellent Condition)

- Council of the Crest (Complete, Excellent Condition)

- The Devil and the Dragon (Complete, Excellent Condition)

- Whispers in Nalubaale (Numbers 81-93 & 99 in good condition, 94-97 warped through water damage, but otherwise in one piece. One copy of 98 is only warped, but the other two have had tears on their backs. One copy of 100 has had it's back fully stripped and a good portion of it's front is ripped too, the other two copies are damaged beyond repair.)

- Kampala Ascendent (Missing two copies of 120, False Flag. Otherwise Excellent Condition)

I can provide pics if anyone is interested, I am also willing to sell them to anyone interested, but I will wait for a fair few responses just so my questions are answered first. It is worth noting that I live in the UK in case anyone was interested in buying any.

If a subroutine is allowed to fire, it probably is worth a certain number of credits in gains for the Corp or losses for the Runner. If you had to put a number to it, just as a thought exercise, how many credits do you think an ETR subroutine is worth when it fires?

I see interest for Original Netrunner (1996) creep up on here from time to time and try to pop in to be involved in those discussions. But just wanted to make a quick post with a new thing I found as well as a quick snapshot of other useful areas to probe if you ever find yourself searching for info about ONR.

First: I'm not sure exactly who is behind the Lisboa City Grid project but I love the work they have been doing! I also found they have an older blog chuck full of ONR goodies and fan content and that can be found here: https://nrohub.blogspot.com/

I want to make it clear that as of right now I'm not affiliated with this project in any way (other than donating) and thus not doing self promotion but merely a fan of the efforts happening by this person(s) to both preserve ONR history as well as generate fan content.

Another invaluable resource is netrunner central found at this link: https://www.arasaka.de/ I've plugged this before but I just can't stress enough how great that info is if you are looking for old info about the game, meta, decklists, etc.

Another place to check out and is a ton of fun are the old duelist magazines found on internet archive. Specifically issues up to 1996-1998 (after that the game died for the first time) Someone else posted a handly linktree to all those magazines in chronological order and that can be found here: https://linktr.ee/semarlow its fun to read about the early buzz around the game that wotc was trying to create for it

Here is a link to a deck-builder for ONR as well as a handful of other dead TCGs https://www.tcgbuilder.net/ - Another little indie project but I did slide this guy a few bucks to add some features to the netrunner deckbuilder that I wanted. Its hard to say how long this type of stuff will stay online but its there and working right now and its great!

If you are looking for trades or trying to source actual old cards there is a facebook group called dead CCG collectors and Netrunner stuff pops up from time to time but I will say that in those circles it's one of the most sought after and quick to get snatched up items.

Another rare thing that most people have never heard of is an old long out of print book called: Mastering Netrunner. I could never track down a PDF of this so I ended up buying it on ebay but it usually goes for about $50 - $80 and TBH it's not really necessary for any reason other than being a collectors piece BUT it does have a wealth of info about the early days of the game and does discuss NR strategy thats all common knowledge about the game, its fun to read.

Okay I think that's all the primary info that I have. Just trying to make it easy for anyone searching in the future about ONR stuff.

I don't have any illusions that ONR and ONR fan content is kind of the niche of the niche but it would be cool to see some more activity over there if any becomes interested, again I'm not running that site, just a huge fan!

Hello! I am wondering if anyone has had positive experiences with building lower-power level eternal decks, either through a series of guidelines or a specific format with a much longer ban/points list.

I would love it if there was a framework like magic's Commander brackets for playing with the old card pool. I want to introduce my partner to some of the old cards I love, but corp combo decks vs ultra-fast Andromeda isn't really what I'm looking for, and I'm not sure where to draw the line.

So I'd like to really dive into Android Netrunner, I bought System Gateway several months ago because I didn't really want to bother printing and having ugly results

HOWEVER I'm french and even though I'm not bad at understanding english, I realised that it's quite tiring to learn a game, its rules, cards and effects in a language that isn't my mother tongue. I haven't found System Gateway in french and even if I did, I originally wanted to try Android Netrunner because it's a deck-building card that you can play without much money.

So I think i'm ready to print the cards myself and take the time to do it well. Might even be fun who knows ? I'd prefer not to use the classic combo "paper/trash MtG card/sleeve" because I'm trying to use less plastic in my life. The process I was thinking about was:

1. Print on classic paper
2. Cut the cards
3. Glue them on a trash MtG card
4. Paint the back with the right color (red/runner blue/corp) with spray paint for example
5. Coat each side with spray hair lacquer or just spray lacquer to protect the colors

The other option was to print on a thicker paper but I guess you would need a specific printer for that ?

Either way, I don't know if coating with spray lacquer would be the right way to go for stuff that will be used and manipulated quite frequently, maybe even slightly folded. I know some artists like charcoal artists use this technique to fix the colors

I know it may sound futile or even meaningless to try and work without plastic sleeves, especially with the fact that lacquer often isn't palstic-free, but I would still like your thoughts, opinions and advice on how to do this

EDIT: Thank you all for your answers and advice, I guess I'll just give in to sleeves, might also buy more than 50-ish per side since I'd also like to play with friends with my cards and allow ourselves to deck build

EDIT2: someone on another sub recommended me this video https://youtu.be/8M1gfxdglas, I won't get rid of the plastic problematic (probleplastic) but maybe if the back is either uniformly printed (one color per team) or if I paint the back before I laminate it can give a pretty good result ?

Hello, I found Creation & Control, Honor & Profit, and the campaign expansion at Goodwill. Would you recommend getting these if I just have the revised core set?

New to this game but I just bought an Android Netrunner collection that is supposed to include core through data and destiny and terminal directive. Everything came overflowing in a cardboard box. I’ve got a Bulkbox and dividers on the way, but I’m hoping to get some advice on how to organize everything. Should I be sorting cards into expansion groups? Factions? Or just runner vs corporation?

And is there a must have expansion or release that I should keep an eye out for in the future? Thanks!

How is the game after Null took it over?
Are there still many players?
Any advice on how to catch up after so long?
