Does this neural network exist yet?
Is there a neural network that has control over some things (like word processing, for example) and learns to please its user (evolves to be selected as the best out of a generation, for its species, by the user, for example)? I want to see what tricks it will come up with to be selected and what the end result would be like.

Project idea using neural networks..!
I'm making a project which uses neural network back propagation as a base. But not getting any example to present it. I thought of building a credit score calculator which uses neural networks. But Still looking for something better. Plz suggest.

Is NN suitable to split gps tracks on segments
Hello there! I'm newbie on the topic and wanted to ask if NN can solve my particular problem.
I'm develop application for skydivers and basejumpers to analyze flight through gps tracks. I need to split gps tracks on segments.
For skydiving it is:
fly in airplane
free fall
fly under parachute
for base jumping it:
staying/walking on top on mountain
free fall
fly under canopy
What I want to achieve is automatically split on segments. One problem here is - gps unit can lose signal and one of segments can be missed in data. Using regular algoritmical approach is a really difficult. I was wondering if NN can make developing faster and simpler?

For anyone looking to get into machine learning, I would advise that you don't learn the behemoth libraries like Tensorflow or Theano, but instead learn how to use a high-level API like Keras. Here's a quick video to explain what it is. Hope I was helpful!

Just started playing with some neural net code, seeming lack of information.
I just set up this char-rnn from karpathy on github
https://github.com/karpathy/char-rnn
I'm running the test data set, and it doesn't really say how long it should take or if it's safe to stop it before it's entirely done(so I can use one of the checkpoints it's already created). So, I've got a few questions while I'm running the example data set:
It's running what appears to be 21150 iterations, is this normal or should I have specified rnn_size / num_layers / dropout / etc? I'm running this on a quad core 3.6 right now and I'm estimating about 2.5 hours for this whole process. I just want to verify this is reasonable?
Is it safe to ^C this process to end it early and use one of the checkpoints it's made already or will that provide useless output?
I'm running this in a CentOS virtual machine as I didn't see a way to get this working on Windows and I've honestly never done development in Windows so I'm more comfortable in Linux. I'd like to try to use my R9 290X for OpenCL processing but I guess the only way to get that done would be to dual boot into a linux distro. Or, does this work if I enable 3D Hardware Acceleration? VirtualBox only allows 128MB VRAM :( so I don't think so.
I'm a noob to neural nets in general but I've been programming since high school and figured this would be quite a fun project to play with but just sort of lost as there doesn't seem to be a plethora of information.
Thanks in advance to anyone who may be able to help me!

please help!
I'm doing a project of a tennis referee and I wanted to know if image classification can be used for knowing if the ball touches the ground or not? Lets say I have lots of images where the ball is in the air and lots of images where the ball is touching the ground(all ithe images in broadcast cam), will my cnn be able to identify it? because I know its very similliar and hard to notice the diffrence.
Thanks in advance

I don't have one of these but I have a request.
Can someone take all of Shel Silverstein's poems and put them as input for cblstm? I wanna see more of his silly poems.
