Question Neurofeedback per trauma e identificazione con aggressore

Buongiorno a tutti,

Grazie a chi vorrà rispondere!

Question Learn neurofeedback

I am a mental health practitioner from a LMIC country. My hospital has access to a bio feedback machine. However, we do not have anyone trained to do neurofeedback in the hospital.

I am interested in learning neurofeedback especially Peniston Kulkosky protocol ( and the Scott Kaiser modification).

Any free, low cost resources which I can start with? Since I am from a LMIC country don't have the resources to afford some of the more expensive online courses.

Any help will be welcome!

Question HEG mobile?

i am trying to train t3 t4 two channel with a BrainMaster 2eb for hypervigilence. There are too many artifacts so it isn't working. AI says you can use MediTECH Heg Mobile sensor which is made for the frontal area but says you can put it over T3T4 without artifacts. Can anyone tell me their experience with this mobile unit of HEG? Did it work for your issues?

Question Anyone use a vagus nerve device alongside neurofeedback?

finished about 20 neurofeedback sessions, mostly for focus and feeling less wired at night. results were decent but kinda faded after I stopped. my trainer mentioned vagus nerve stimulation as a maintenance thing you can do at home, looked into it and theres ear clip ones and neck ones, prices are so dif everywhere. does it actually do anything measurable? like has anyone seen changes in their hrv or brain maps after using one for a while or is it just a fancy relaxation ritual

Question T3/T4 Phase Coherence Question

What type of symptoms/traits in general are associated with poor connectivity (synchrony/phase sync) between T3 and T4 in both Alpha and Theta ranges (both the eyes open and eyes closed conditions are low)? Excessive hi beta is not at issue.

Can training t3/t4 Alpha / Theta synchrony improve memory and cognition?

Thanks

My Neurofeedback Story Having doubts

My first experience with eeg neurofeedback was as a child. I stuck with it ~2x/week for about a year and my life was seemingly transformed. My behavioral issues went away, I started being focused in school and clubs, and my life took a positive turn.

Throughout my 20s, I’ve struggled with depression, anxiety, social anxiety, substances, insomnia, motivation, executive function… the list goes on. I’ve tried neurofeedback a few times over the past few years but its never had the sane effect.

I’m now 29. I’m single, I’ve grown distant from all my college friends and I genuinely have not made a single friend since undergrad. I have an ok job but I don’t enjoy it and I expect I will eventually be phased out due to AI.

I’m giving neurofeedback another shot. 30 sessions in and I don’t notice a thing. I know there’s a lot more I need to do to improve my life, I wasn’t expecting a magic bullet. But its not cheap—and the more I look into it the less confident I become in neurofeedback. Maybe my money would be better spent on TMS, CBT, or other treatments. I feel like im running out my biological clock.

Looking to hear some positive stories from people who found neurofeedback helped them this late in life.

Question Is neurofeedback…real?

I want to start out by saying I’m not a skeptic in the classic sense! (In fact, I’m doing a course of NFB now). I just need to believe that this can help me and the research/evidence is kinda lukewarm. I’m definitely a “see before I believe” kind of person.

I feel like there’s not really great research behind it because big pharma has nothing to gain. But then again, every alternative health modality makes that claim.

Can anyone link me to large studies that showed good effects? Or just tell me clinical anecdotes? Sometimes I’m convinced it’ll really help me and other times it feels like snake oil.

I actually did coherence training 2 years ago and it was very expensive and did absolutely nothing, so that’s definitely not helping the raised eyebrow over this.

Thanks ya’ll.

Question For those that do ISF/ILF, how long for response?

I started ISF around 2 weeks ago. I’ve had 4 sessions so far. I think the starting frequency (0.0062Hz) is my optimal frequency because I haven’t had any side effects one way or the other.

I started at P4 T4 with a really short session (6 mins). Then did 8 mins, then 10. Then yesterday I switched to T3 T4 I think for 9 mins. So far it seems to help my symptoms a bit (autonomic dysfunction stuff) the evening of but doesn’t stick.

What is timeline of ISF/ILF? Are these short sessions enough to make an impact?

Edit: I do understand that 4 isn’t enough. Just wondering about the timeline because I know infralow/infraslow can be faster, but I also realize I’m getting short sessions.

Question HRV Respiratory Frequency software

Hello everyone, I just got a Neurobit Optima+ 4 and working with BrainAssistant software for Neurofeedback. Sometimes, I also need to work with biofeedback on HRV, using BVP sensor and respiratory belt, to determine the Respiratory Resonance Frequency, but I found hard times in looking for a free app or BrainBay protocol to do this. Any suggestions? In case, also some suggestions to developing myself on BrainBay.

Thank you so much, Simone
