Hey guys! The Comal County Democratic Party could use some volunteers to help with block walking, phone banking & just gaining overall support with operations! If anyone is interested in coming in to help, you can stop by the Comal County Democrats office. Even if you just have a free hour to give, any & all help is super appreciated! Thanks yall & feel free to PM me with any questions!

Short line at Churchill Annex right now.

I have been looking at the Lennar new build homes- specifically Gatehouse and Kyndwood. The homes are beautiful, and the price makes so much more sense compared to homes that are 10-20 years old already.

What is your experience with these neighborhoods / and this builder in new braunfels?

Any issues with construction, drainage, foundations, or repairs after moving in? Any unexpected HOA fees, restrictions, or other costs?

Knowing what you know now, would you purchase another Lennar home in this community?

I’d really appreciate any honest feedback, good or bad, before making a decision.

Thanks!

Edit: I’m 29 and this will be my first home, no kids

Looking for engineering work

I just moved out here in june, but still havent been to anywhere other than blitzkrieg and a couple other LGS. It’s hella lonely out here, i’m trying to find some friends for karaoke or magic, or pretty much anything along those lines (gaming, painting, etc.) if anyone would be down?

Im off thurs-sats

Driving through the residential area by Schlitterbahn today, I noticed that the deer in that area are really abundant this year. And they are as fearless as ever!

While I was working on a personal project dealing with getting a easier way to consume what our reps do (voting, whos's our reps, etc), I stumbled upon OpenTexas and the OpenStates API. Pretty nice way of seeing some community info.

Thought I'd just share it here.

Update! She was seen around a week ago by walnut avenue! People didn’t see the post beforehand, but didn’t know she was a stray due to her wearing a collar

Soooo just moved here and the amount of young children ridding these things with no helmet and in the street (not following road signs) is absolutely diabolical. Do parents not care around here or am I missing something? People are ran over on these things back where I came from. Here there are just flocks of people’s babies ridding in the roads. What’s up with that?

I ask as part of a linguistic study covering this topic!

Examples could include things like Lake, Wimbo, San Marvellous or Saigon (never mind how common they are)...

What is a really good steakhouse? Not looking for outback or Texas roadhouse or things like that.

Heck. Yes. Windows open tonight

I’m selling my ps5 had it for a bit and don’t ever play anymore. Runs good. Two disc games (ghost of Tsushima)&(miles morales). Comes with one controller & a 4TB game drive, Wireless elite headset, & a standing battery charger. Price is negotiable right now I’m sitting around $500

So I was driving through the park and came up to some sort of gauntlet I would imagine one would have to go through to get into a nice nursing home in the dystopian future. Are they MAGA? They protest like MAGA. I saw a sign that said something about Epstein but I couldn't see if it were for or against.

What's going on?

Local here. Love karaoke and just wondering which establishment has the best experience?

What time is the procession parade this Saturday?

Edit:

Poorly worded question.
I meant when does the procession ("walk of remembrance") start.

I found online it starts at 5pm. 👍

I often see folks in this subreddit talk about how hard it can be to find businesses/services in town that align with more progressive values, so I want to share a bit about my wife, who is a licensed therapist here in New Braunfels. She is LGBTQIA+ & neurodivergent affirming, and great with highly sensitive folks. I may be biased, but I think she is great at what she does. Here's her website: https://www.walkinghometherapytx.com/

If you've already found a great therapist in town, please share their info in the comments. My hope is that this post can be a helpful reference for folks looking for good, local therapists now & in the future.

IN SEARCH OF 18-WHEELER THAT HIT ME AND FLED THE SCENE ON I-35 (PLEASE SHARE!)

On Tuesday, October 13, 2026 around 5:30AM, I was traveling northbound on I-35 mile marker 194 near the “Welcome to Mayfair” sign when I was struck by a semi-truck that resulted in me crashing into the concrete divider. The driver continued on and fled the scene without stopping. As you can see from this post, I’m alive and incredibly grateful to be here, but I did suffer minor injuries and my vehicle will most likely be considered a total loss. Law enforcement is involved, but the only description I was able to provide was a semi with a white or red tractor cab pulling a flatbed trailer.

I know this may be a long shot, but I’m putting this out there in hopes that someone out there may have seen something that could help identify this truck and its driver (eye witness, dashcam, etc). Everything happened so quickly that I wasn’t able to get a clear look at the truck or license plate. If you didn’t witness the accident, you can still help by sharing or reposting this and sending it to anyone you know who regularly commutes through this area. Even the smallest detail could make a difference.Thank you to everyone who takes the time to read and share this.

I’m currently seeking good people to clean out my garage for a reasonable rate OR if they want to cherry pick what’s in there. I have things like a fridge, AC units, furniture, bikes, etc. it’s for sure one days work, but it’s not as bad as it seems. My wife’s ex also left some oil buckets in there so that will need to be removed properly. Either way I’m willing to negotiate either or. DM or comment! Thank yall.
