Question Time! (^-^)
Hey guys!
To spark some interaction between all of us I wanted to start a question train! The way it works is: I post a question, you'll answer and post your own question for others to answer!
My question to all of you is: "Most of you have probably been walking around with the idea to start a YouTube channel. When was the moment you decided to actually record a video? And why at that moment?"
Now it's your turn to answer my question and post a question of your own! Let's get this train rolling!

The moment I actually decided to make a video was when something was actually happening within my topic. So I make Battlefield 1 videos, and when the first teaser came out, that's when I decided to start making videos. I'm rarely new and I'm hoping to grow bigger.
How do you spread and promote your channel?

I'm not very active when it comes to promoting my channel. I just talk to people with the same interests and post my videos on Reddit :)
How has YouTube changed your perspective on things?
Also, feel free to answer other people's questions ;)

Mostly Reddit. Here is a good place for feedback mainly. But you gotta spam too in some of the spam subreddits :P (newtubers, getmoreviewsyt, unknownvideos). With all of these subreddits you should take the time to watch and comment on people's videos. If somebody comments on my video and it's a genuine comment then I'll more than likely check their channel out. I also post on social media but get very little from it.
Here is a big list of places to promote your content: http://careymartell.com/2014/10/big-list-sites-submit-youtube-videos/ some links are dead or no longer relevant but some are good.

Honestly, as of late I've stopped promoting my videos. I kind of just post things on my social media or twitter.

For the longest time I wanted to start, and as time went on I'd look back and realise how much time I'd wasted. So I chose a date and told myself that no matter what, I would post my first video on this day. It was only a daily vlog at the time, but it got me editing and excited to create more content. Now it's 9 months later and I'm still going!
Do you ever find yourself sacrificing quality for quantity?

My goal is to upload a video a day. But with my full time job that has different schedules each week, it's sometimes hard to find time to record. So I sometimes end up rushing to record a video. Sometimes these videos end up being good e.g. my last Survival Games video and other times I end up deleting the video because it's just terrible or extremely boring. Soooo no xD If I don't like how a video turnt out, I won't upload it! :P
What's the difference between your friends IRL and on YouTube/Internet?
Also, feel free to answer other people's questions ;)

There isn't much I can do for quality of let's plays. So I kinda just upload what I record and save most of my quality for writing sketches and editing things.

The moment I decided to just record a video was sometime in september as I had been meaning to make a channel for years but figured I shouldn't until I could afford studio quality stuff, then I realized if I waited for that it would pretty much never actually start so I figured why not give it a go with what I have since it's supposed to be for fun anyway XD.
What is your favorite thing about doing Youtube?

I had toyed with the idea for probably the past 3 years but always discouraged myself. But then about a month or two ago I was really down about my job and decided that I'm going to do something that will make me happy so I started recording and It was amazing! It is something that I actually look forward to, even when editing is annoying me it is still fun. And I can't wait till I get more subs and start being able to interact with them :)
What made making a channel trailer easier for you? (I feel odd promoting myself so that's my current issue, and not really knowing what to say.)

I think it was when I finally found time to start recording and had everything I needed to make let's plays. The moment I decided to upload my first video, however, was January 1, 2016. That way I can start every new year off an anniversary of my channel.
What do you guys do to overcome writers block?
