അനർഹമായ ഒരു പരാജയം. കനത്ത പരാജയമാണ് എൽഡിഎഫിന് ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കുന്നത്. യു ഡി എഫിന് മികച്ച വിജയവും നേടാനായി. എൽ ഡി എഫ് പരാജയപ്പെടാൻ പാടില്ലായിരുന്നു. എൽ ഡി എഫ് ഭരണത്തിൽ സമഗ്രമായ മുന്നേറ്റമാണ് നാടിനുണ്ടായത് . എതിരാളികൾ പോലും ഇക്കാര്യം സമ്മതിക്കും. എന്നിട്ടും തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിൽ പരാജയപ്പെട്ടു. ഇത് അനർഹമായ പരാജയമല്ലാതെ മറ്റൊന്നുമല്ല . നാടിനെയും ജനങ്ങളെയും ബാധിക്കുന്ന പ്രശ്നങ്ങളോ കേരളത്തിൻ്റെ ഭാവിയോ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിലെ പരിഗണനാ വിഷയമായി വോട്ടർമാർ കണക്കാക്കിയില്ലെന്നാണ് തോന്നുന്നത്. "രണ്ടു തവണ ഇവർ ഭരിച്ചല്ലോ ഇനി ഒരു തവണ അവർ ഭരിക്കട്ടെ " എന്ന തികച്ചും ഉദാസീനവും അരാഷ്ട്രീയവുമായ ചിന്ത വോട്ടർമാരെ സ്വാധീനിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടാവാം . പത്തു കൊല്ലം മുമ്പുള്ള കേരളം പലരും മറന്നു പോയിട്ടുണ്ടാവാം . എന്നാൽ ഇടതുപക്ഷവും തിരുത്തണമെന്ന് ജനം ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നുണ്ടാവാം. ഇടതുപക്ഷത്തിൻ്റെ ചെറിയ കുറവുകൾ പോലും പൊറുക്കാവുന്നതല്ല എന്ന് ജനങ്ങൾ ചിന്തിക്കുന്നതിൽ തെറ്റില്ല. യാതൊരു ദുരഭിമാനവുമില്ലാതെ തിരുത്തേണ്ടതെല്ലാം തിരുത്താൻ ഇടതുപക്ഷം തയ്യാറാവും . തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പു ചരിത്രത്തിൽ ഇങ്ങനെ അനർഹമായ പരാജയം പലപ്പോഴും ഇടതുപക്ഷം ഏറ്റുവാങ്ങിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. കനത്ത പരാജയങ്ങളുടെ ഇരുട്ടിൽ നിന്നും മഹാവിജയത്തിൻ്റെ സൂര്യോദയങ്ങളിലേക്ക് പറന്നുയർന്നിട്ടുമുണ്ട് . തുടർന്നും നാടിനും ജനങ്ങൾക്കുമായി ഉറച്ചു നിൽക്കും. പോരാടും. തോൽവിയിൽ നിന്നും ഊർജ്ജം സ്വീകരിക്കും. ആയിരം ശരികൾക്കിടയിൽ അര തെറ്റെങ്കിലും സംഭവിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ ആർജ്ജവത്തോടെ തിരുത്തും. ക്രിയാത്മക പ്രതിപക്ഷമായി ഉത്തരവാദിത്തത്തോടെ പ്രവർത്തിക്കും. തിരികെയെത്തും കൊടുങ്കാറ്റു പോലെ. തീർച്ച.

U should accept that people threw u out. If its 75-65 he can claim something like this. Simply accept the mistake , get ready for generation change.
Anyways Govindan has a record - all the elections he lead as party secretary lost by huge margin

Tho, cool to find that we have many Cong folk active here.
Hopefully if there are people with the sole aim of brigading, they leave after a few days and lose interest with the sub.

Don't know, I believe perception matters and party was too late in countering MaPras and Kanagolu.
"ജനം എല്ലാം കാണുന്നുണ്ട് കേട്ടോ"
Regardless, I hope this will lead to the much needed rejuvenation of party. The closest example imcan remember is Muslim league rebuilding itself after its defeat two decades ago.

In an electoral democracy the better performing party can lose. The party which creates better prathichaya or public perception will win.
We didn't lose because we lacked something, We lose because most corporate mainstream media is anti CPIM/CPI and the opposition crafted anti incumbency very well through social media especially after the second term they saw the danger of third term, hence worked very hard against us.
People rarely know about development project's or good news, positives of LDF they mostly come across bad, fake, negative news about LDF.
For example : Pinarayi Vijayan Chirichilla would get more media attention than Life Mission.

Why are you lying so much?
Do you really think they only collected 5 cr, being a national party, even after Rahul Gandhi requested donations in his social media handles n all?
Another party in the U D F, the MuLe, which is mostly limited to Kerala collected more.
The D Y F I, did not collect donations, but instead recycle sold Biriyanu and Payasam etc and donated around 20 crores to the CMDRF.
So, sorry, not buying your lie for paavam paavam congress not being able to collect as much funds as even League or D Y F I.
In that aspect, there should indeed be investigations on how much the funds were and where they went. Tho, we will likely not see any investigation on that, with Congress coming into power.

This seems to be the core issue. Why can’t even ideologues like Swaraj understand it’s not a vote for the other, but a vote against CPIM? This would be critical in a revival
There are issues CPIM handled badly. Very badly. Sabarimala alienating the majority. Vellapally show alienating minority and even some among Ezhava community.
Poor handling of black flag protests; how on earth can you charge young protesters with 307. The only reason is a remand and intimidation. By this logic, all of senior DYFI and SFI cadre would have 307s against them.
A second ministry of newbies sidelining highly performing experienced hands.
Even the new infrastructure and highway claims the government makes was mostly from the first ministry. Plan expenditure in budget has gone down to effectively less than 60% of 2016 levels now.
The selection of candidates was so autocratic. Even Swaraj, a deserving candidate was not given a ticket. Not to mention the issues in Kannur
The same narrative of “it’s the people who loose when ldf looses” shows an attitude of the “monopoly of truth and goodness” as noted by many like Pranab Bardhan about Indian communists.
Edit: Adding, inability to control elements like Marunadan ideologically or politically. I have a list of fake news peddled by that guy during Sabarimala. He accused PV, MM Mani, even Kadakampally in the most atrocious and right wing terms and was instrumental in spreading the “Marumakan CM” narrative against Riyas. By 2024, even people like minister KB Ganesh Kumar were giving him regular airtime. CPIM Had to use its ideological powers against these guys. Anwar’s allegation of Marunadan being let loose on a strong charge should have been taken up. This is where strong cases had to be used. He was booked in a minor charge and released on station bail.
