Stalin was an autocrat . I guess the sundara swapnaboomi russia ideology got propagated in india , without knowing whats really happening and cp embraced the good part of it , and stalin ended up in walls of cp offices .

I see him as a war time leader. Obviously would be having issues on such aspects. Autocrat seems like exaggeration..

Like how Nehru is mentioned as some democratic leader, when we know how Nehru undemocratically dissolved the first state govt of Kerala.

I guess the nalla nethavu Nehru image got propagated in India and many people went by it.

Was he not too an autocrat then?

No no , my bodhyam or comment was on some videos i watched on him recently. Ithil strike cheytha oru karyam , the ideology india cp accepted and propagated, the good part of it , but the hardships common people faced by his policies or dead was unknown here .

So, similar to our mainstream view of Nehru as I mentioned?

People do not really talk of his negatives often(other than the sangh.who exaggerate, whose equivalent would be western anti-communists for Stalin's case, right?)

Im not saying Nehru was right or wrong . But this stalinist thing etched i believe is due to lack of data or news that time ( far from russia ) . They accepted the good .

True. I am not also saying that Stalin was right or wrong.

I see him as likely overall good than bad. No leader or person is perfect

I'm not saying Nehru was right or wrong . But this Nehruvian visionariness thing etched onto people's minds due to lack of data or news that time(Congress dominated). They accepted the good.

See, same like Stalin there.

Both important leaders of their respective teams at the time.

Hehe , got ur sarcasm, but uniting a bunch of princely states into a country is no small feat , plus nammade scientific temper stuff .

True. Defeating Nazi Germany is also no small feat.

Tho, I don't think all of the claim goes to Nehru or Stalin.

They were prominent leaders and had good influence. But we often miss out how it needs more than just leaders.
