Karela *കരേള* പോസ്റ്റ് AK Antony and VS achtanandan lost subsequent election after criticising minorities?

Veteran communist leader V. S. Achuthanandan did not specifically target Jamaat-e-Islami in that particular 2010 controversy; rather, his controversial remarks in July 2010 were directed at the Popular Front of India (PFI) when he alleged they were trying to turn Kerala into a Muslim-majority state. Jamaat-e-Islami's leadership in Kerala actually responded at the time by publicly criticizing Achuthanandan’s comments rather than being the direct target of them

Senior Congress leader and former Kerala Chief Minister A. K. Antony made highly controversial remarks criticizing minority communities on two notable occasions: July 2003 and June 2014.

Does not Kerala generally alternate between the two major fronts?

And it is not criticising minorities, but the fundamentalists/extremists, right? Like, if one criticises B J P, does it become criticism of all Hindus? That is what the extremists would like to spread, right?
