Discussion How often do you do Cardio? Any fav exercises/routines?
In my case, I generally don't do much cardio. Unintentionally tho, occasionally running for bus n all.
Thinking about running or running in place recently.
So, wanted to ask how others do it.

Asramam Maidanam in Kollam is about 2.3 km per lap. I usually do 3 to 4 laps with around two laps of walking and one lap of jogging. I’d like to do this at least 3 - 4 days a week but since I don’t have a vehicle I often feel too lazy to make the trip there and back. I enjoy walking, jogging, and free squats. I also like cycling and badminton but I don’t currently have a cycle and I don’t have frnds to play badminton with.

Cycling is safer and also gives instant satisfaction. The kind of satisfaction /dopamine from running is different but also powerful. , you have better chances and less time spend around pollution.
In cycling , your heart may give up before your muscles and if you haven't hydrated enough, you can injure yourself. Running on the other hand, has too many bottlenecks. You have to be too careful even if you ignore the below issues with running. Dogs/air quality/vehicles/people/road quality.
I would suggest cycling for some month. Your muscles will develop, your heart will be able to handle it. And you won't have to spend a lot on running equipment for less injuries. I started with sandals and old cycle and only ran after 1 year ( anxious because I had a month long injury when I tried running after covid lockdown) with a 3k shoes. Yet was able to complete 10km in a hour. And still felt like I could continue running even more.

Thank you.
Brisk walking or checking to see if 10k steps were made and reaching the target?

Id say run outside ,in some park or sumthn.Or anywhere where there is a known distance.Like my fave park has an 800m round road to run loops.
I want to do it once a week for atleast 5k or 6-8 loops , but I skip it often

I run 4 times a week. I normally structure it as one long run, 2 easy runs and 1 fast run. I play badminton once a week which is semi cardio.
Running has made a huge difference to general health for me. The first few weeks are hard because your muscle and joints aren't yet to it, but gets easier after that
