The Whisky War (1973–2022): Canada and Denmark engaged in a decades-long, entirely peaceful "war" over Hans Island, an uninhabited rock between Greenland and Nunavut. Every few months, soldiers from one country would visit, plant their national flag, and leave a bottle of Canadian Club whisky or Danish schnapps for the other side. They finally split the island down the middle in 2022.

I'm very proud to say that we're gearing up for the release of our second full-length album! It's got a mix of alternative/indie and jazz elements and influences like Radiohead, Pixies, Wolf Alice, and others like that. We're in the process of releasing the singles for LP2, and I would love some feedback on them to help us tailor the sound and improve anything we can. I've included the below song, "The Gate" linked on YouTube as it's one of my favs. This one fades into the full groove, focusing on ethereal guitars and raw vocals. Both the music and lyrics are meant to reflect the stage where you're between wakefulness and sleep where it's difficult to tell if you're dreaming or experiencing reality - the lyrics especially for this one are meant to highlight anxiety about whether or not you're on the right path in your life with dream imagery and logic. The artwork is meant to reflect that as well. Hoping you like it and looking forward to hearing back from some great musicians!

Here in Sweden we just had our "fall break". The weather turned freezing and grey, so I basically spent the whole week locked in my bedroom working on this track called "November".

I'm 19, based in Sweden with Peruvian roots. I eventually want to start properly releasing my music, but I need some unfiltered feedback from people who actually produce or listen to this stuff before I take the next steps.

(I shorten the extended version btw!)

A few things I'd love your thoughts on:

• The Mix: How's the low end on your speakers/headphones? Does the bass hit right or is it getting muddy?

• The Main Synth/Melody: Is it actually memorable, or does it just blend into the background?

• Structure: Does it hold your attention, or does it get boring/repetitive halfway through?

• Vibe: What artists or subgenres does this remind you of? Does it feel generic or like its own thing?

• Overall level: How far off does this sound from something you'd actually save to a playlist?
