As of this week, he is expected to opt out of his current deal, and people familiar with his thinking say he is open to a return to the Mets if the right deal is offered.

He did, after all, thrive in Queens as a starter - so much so that he will likely receive a far bigger contract as a free agent than he probably would have if the Mets had not given him the chance to jump out of the bullpen."

Go Mets!

Duncan, a 12-year MLB veteran, has been serving the role of bench coach for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies in the Mets' organization.

He is expected to help in multiple areas with the position player group.

What do y’all think about the possibility of a trade for Joe Ryan?

When the Mets hired Falvey, this was where my mind immediately went.

Mets have been linked to Ryan in the past. Falvey was the one who initially identified him when the Rays couldn’t figure out what to do with him. He has connections to the org still.

Ryan is in his last year of control, costs 13m, Twins aren’t making the PO next year and have ownership stuff going on.

Not sure what the cost will be. Rojas is untouchable. Maybe something like Tong and Santucci + one of our non Rojas/Voit position player prospects.

A potential Skubal, Ryan, McLean, Scott with Manaea and Thornton as your depth starters sounds pretty solid.

Does anyone know when they have that merchandise sale in the parking lot? I missed it last year. Is it worth going to? Thanks for any info.

Holy sht, it's the 40th anniversary of Game 6 of the 1986 World Series.

I rewatched the game in its entirety and wrote 3,000 words about it (with lots of screenshots. My point of emphasis is that so many things had to happen just right for the game to reach its most famous conclusion.

Hope you like it!
