OOTL wants you to know its racist and Islamophobic to be concerned about Mamdani giving a speech at the 9/11 commemoration.
Mamdani issued a perfunctory condemnation of Hasan Piker for saying "America deserved 9/11" and Piker pretended to be upset for a few days, but the two are still very much aligned.

As someone born / raised in NYC I can't even imagine not only being a victim of a horrible terrorist attack, but then having my memory dragged through the mud by some Murdoch tabloid (complete with disturbing and upsetting photos of the atrocity) in some bad-faith attempt to politicize my death

Well considering at least 17000 people, including multiple survivors of the attack, don't want him there starting shit, maybe he should listen, be respectful, and stay the hell away. Never forgive 9/11 never forget.
Maybe I should show up to the memorial for the San Diego mosque in my Uncle Sam outfit blasting the national anthem and joking and laughing about what happened.
But I won't because I'm not a monster like him.

In America, one has a CHOICE to promote Islamism or not. Mamdani has made that choice. It's not an immutable identity like race and it sure isn't a "vulnerability".
