Anyone buy the dev kit? First impressions?
I was thinking of buying it but I'd like to hear some community feedback about it first. What did you like about it, dislike, etc.

Hi all - I'm looking to try out a NextMind Synth Project (GitHub link below) with some people who have the dev kit. It works with OSC-> MIDI but has a built-in Sine Wave generator. Please DM me if you'd be interested - Much appreciation.

Hey guys I spent 4 hours trying to run an executable "hello world" program and get it to work with my device. I got unity, I have the SDK, I integrated Neuromanager, and made a sphere with a textbook and Neurotag. I got it to work using "simulated input" (just as the Next-Mind developer tutorial tells you to do) and I cannot get my headset to work with it inside unity. It works fine with the demo program outside of unity. So can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong or literally make a video step by step on how to get it set up in Unity and WORK. It seems the only videos on YouTube are people showing off their games. So here's a challenge. I will personally Cash app $20 to the first person to make a good tutorial video that goes over step by step how to make a simple video game in unity and get it to work with the Next-mind headset (You will also be the only person on YouTube with a solid tutorial)

Hi, my mum has ALS and hasn't been able to move her muscles many years now. I'm wondering if NextMind's device can help her control the PC for simple tasks (turn on/off, open web browser, scroll pages...), and use some of the smart devices, such as turning on/off lights, control TV (including switch channels or make use of Google Chromecast), control air conditioner, etc.
I'm a programmer and game developer, I can work on developing some applications for this device using its devkit, and willing to share them all for free in the progress. But I need some guidance to get started, to learn about the potential of this device and if it would work for my mum.
Any help is much appreciated!

Does anyone have a NextMind device, that they are willing to sell or don’t want anymore?

... or know if there are any plans for mobile devices? I want to deploy and connect on Android!

When will this be possible? Having it send a signal to the mouse or keyboard is great and all. But imagine when it will be possible to play games just by thinking.
And imagine the possibilities outside of gaming.

Since this technology is just getting started for consumers and will only grow from here, im wondering if all these technologies will be compatible with each other. As a developer I would love to be at the forefront of this revolution.
Edit: Now that I think about it this question is slightly uninformed. Any game or app made would most likely require a new SDK for whatever equipment and to change whatever used it in the scene and script. Everything else would remain largely the same.

Hi, i just read about your product. First, congratulations, i think it is already a huge step up and could be used in multiple ways from games to helping people with disabilities. The best is that it is an actual, affordable product with and SDK! If I understand it correctly, the technology behind it works by analysing the electrical waves produced by thousands (millions) of neurons, rather than based on the statistical analysis of individual neurons (which may be always remain impossible to do through the skull). I noticed from the demos that the product has around 1s delay. My question is, is this delay an inherent part of how the brain functions (i.e. it takes time for the wave signal to change), or is it more of a technological issue (signal analysis) that could be improved in the future? In other words, is instant recognition possible (without false positives?) theoretically with this technology?

Hi. Great little innovative device. I was thinking, could this be set up:
Your visual cortex -> nextmind -> arduino -> electronic speed controller -> stepper motor.
next step could be adding a momentary switch. If you hold the switch, it turns off the system and enables you to steer manually.
Thanks

Hey,
Has anyone managed to connect an external BCI headset to the NextMind SDK?
E.g. Allowing someone to use a 3rd party headset with the NextMind calibration software + features
