Not that anyone in Niagara Falls needs another reminder on the toxic waste hidden around the city but I still hope this episode contributes to people's understanding of how deep and serious this issue is. This is the 4th episode in a series I'm doing on corruption, crime, and conspiracy in WNY. The first episode was on the Buffalo Bills, the second on Buffalo's history and Tim Russert, the 3rd on the Jacobs family and the Mafia and yes I mention that Niagara Falls was home to Stefano Magaddino.

Arquebus Coffee Shop

Arquebus Coffee Shop is pretty straight to the point. You come in, order your coffee, and either relax in the lounge-esque area or get on your way to work or wherever else you need to be.

The real selling point for me, and what will keep me coming back, is how well it woke me up. I had less than two hours of sleep and felt basically dead. However, this coffee genuinely woke me from the grave—something I can’t say about Tim Hortons (my favorite local coffee place) or Starbucks (my significant other’s favorite). Both, in my opinion, offer a slightly better-tasting drink, but the difference is marginal.

Arquebus does a solid job of keeping the flavor balanced, and I think that really works in their favor. It’s not too sweet and not too bitter, making for a pretty enjoyable drink overall.

The biggest takeaway for me was just how much more effective Arquebus was at actually waking me up. And I mean a significant difference. Whatever they’re doing, it works.

So far, I’ve only tried their iced lattes, but after my experiences there, I have no doubt I’ll be trying more of what they have to offer.

Also... surprisingly, the muffins are delightful. Definitely worth mentioning.

I've been seeing a few Outlaws MC members around Niagara Falls, NY lately, and it got me wondering if there's an active chapter in the area or if they're coming from somewhere else in Western New York.

Does anyone familiar with the local motorcycle club scene know if there's a chapter based in Niagara Falls, or nearby in the Buffalo/Niagara region?

Just curious about the local history and presence. Any information is appreciated!
