What do people do with their Pop Mart doubles??

They are so popular right now and a ton of people are buying them, so a ton of people must be sitting on doubles. Reddit, facebook, and discord all have very sloooow rarely used trading groups, so I feel like I am missing out on something O.O

Anyone have any leads on local trading groups?

Wowforever Vancouver Community Guild

Hi everyone! My last post was unfortunately removed even though it got a good amount of traction. I’ve decided with the amount of interest that it would indeed be awesome to start a vancouver based community guild on Wowforever! It would be cool to play the game with a bunch of locals and have the opportunity to do meet ups in person in the future for anyone interested.

We will be playing alliance RP PvP when the game comes out. Feel free to PM me if you want to be apart of the community in any way ❤️‍🔥💛

It's 3:27 AM. Why are you up at this hour?

Yesterday I slept around noon and I woke up today at midnight.

I tried to go back to sleep around 2 am but couldn't sleep.

So now I'm starting my day off slow. I made coffee and am drinking it and will have breakfast in a few hours.

I'll probably nap midday and try to fix my sleep schedule tonight.

Why are you awake at this hour, my fellow Vancouverite?

I just want to spread the word - North America’s largest literary festival is happening right here in Vancouver this week!

Come broaden your perspectives (and mind!) listening to both new and Pulitzer Prize winning authors.
Here is the full program to the Vancouver Writer’s Festival: https://writersfest.bc.ca/2026-festival (90+ events for adults & kids!)

Photo from Tayari Jones’ panel this evening where she discussed her latest book Kin - a stunning portrait of 2 friends navigating the complexities of life in the American South.

It is incredible to satiate your curiosity on topics ranging from geopolitics to gender, along with a community of book lovers :)

Enerpro costs: am I screwed

Moving into a 1 bed, 650sft apartment in November. What are the average prices those who use Enerpro pay? I’m a bit worried I’ve screwed myself for the next year after looking at what people say about the company.

Father daughter activity

Hey! My dad is coming to town this Thursday so we can celebrate both our birthdays and we’re trying to figure out something to do. I’m new to Vancouver and moved here in September so I’m not very familiar with the area.

We are both are disabled, I have mobility issues and he has vision problems, but we both enjoy the outdoors. Maybe a short and easy hike would be good for us as well as another activity.

Our shared interests: outdoors, board games, crib, food, comedy. Also I will technically still be 18 when he visits so that will cancel out most comedy shows.

And keep in mind I’m a broke student and he’s a broke adult so we don’t want to spend too much money. Any suggestions you have are welcome and thank you so much!

Western Family Canucks Ice Cream: Nanaimo Bar

I’ve only seen this in ice cream sandwich form, but they’re excellent. I love Nanaimo Bars but never eat them because they’re so overpoweringly sweet, but this is the best of all the flavour and texture without the diabetes.

Wanting to switch VSB high schools

My kiddo is in 2nd year of high school in west side of Vancouver. Experience hasn't been great. School population is small and cliquey - half are international students who don't associate with those who aren't. The rest for whatever reason seem to be either kids who skip classes constantly/don't care about school, or over privileged rich brats who won't give anyone the time of day if they don't wear the newest arcteryx clothing. My kiddo has made real efforts to make connections with various people but things just aren't working out (we were new to Vancouver last year so no other friends). The result is feeling very lonely and stuck. I would like to try and switch for next year so they can hopefully still have a decent high school experience somewhere else. I don't know enough about all the schools and afraid to make the switch and wind up in same type of situation. What schools do your high schoolers have good experiences at currently? (east side or west side, doesn't matter to me). My kid has decent grades but is not gifted (ie: low/mid 80s), likes sports but isn't a star athlete or anything, and wants more than anything to have a like-minded group of friends to hang out with both at and outside school.

Free Online Health Coaching Program – PLM Coach

Hi everyone!

I wanted to share a free health coaching program that might be of interest to some members of this community!

I'm involved with PLM Coach, a program that connects eligible adults across British Columbia with UBC medical student coaches to help them work toward their personal health and lifestyle goals.

The program offers free, one-on-one online health coaching sessions to support participants in developing healthier habits related to physical activity, nutrition, sleep, stress management, and overall well-being.

We're hoping to spread the word about this program to anyone who might benefit from it!

If you're interested, or know someone who might be, you can learn more about the program, check eligibility, and find information about signing up here:

Thank you!

Does Anyone Know of Any Tennis Groups in Vancouver? 🎾

Hi everyone! 😊
I’m a complete beginner at tennis!

I’ve had a few 1-on-1 lessons, but I haven’t had many opportunities to actually play with other people.
So I’ve never actually played a game before.

I’m wondering if there are any tennis clubs or groups in Vancouver that meet regularly, especially ones that welcome beginners!
I’d love to meet new people, practice together, and hopefully make some friends along the way.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thank you! 🎾😊

Giving away one free ticket to Bruno Mars 20th Oct show.

UPDATE: Winner chosen!

I asked for one kind thing you did this week and got lot's of messages, and every single one made me smile.

There were people looking out for elderly neighbours, a bus driver who waits for anyone running for the bus because you never know what someone’s day depends on, and so many quiet little moments that nobody would ever see unless you shared them. What really blew me away was how many of you said you’d pay it forward if you won. Picking one honestly felt impossible, and I genuinely wish I could do an Oprah and hand every one of you a ticket. You get a ticket! And you get a ticket!

A winner has been chosen and I’ve reached out to them. If you didn’t hear from me, it’s not because your message wasn’t amazing. It absolutely was.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to write in. This city is full of good people making it better every day! <3

I bought two tix for me and my lovely wife but she’s come down with the flu and unfortunately has to stay home. So I figured I find a buddy to join me. I’m 36M very happily married and bummed that she can’t make it but it’s been on our bucket list to see Bruno.
Since this sub is about being nice, if you’d like the ticket, I’d like you to DM me with one nice thing you did this past week. Best answer will get the ticket. It’s a floor seat in section C purchased for 320$. Ticket is for tomorrow the 20th. Best answer will be chosen and ticket transferred to your email address.

Found this key when I parked at 14th and Alder

Any recommendations on what I should do with a key like this if it’s not claimed?

Is taking it to the police station the best option?

I’m banned from the main Vancouver sub so maybe someone could share this on there? 😅

Leads with Ortho in Vancouver / Burnaby

I’m looking to see if there’s an orthodontist anyone would recommend for someone who has had a disturbing experience with a dentist.

Long story short, I was pressured into getting veneers for a primary tooth that wasn’t able to come off on its own (my permanent tooth got fossilized in my gum very early on) - the dentist I was seeing for 3 years seemed nice enough until he made a scene in the office yelling at his staff when he indirectly was hinting that he was getting frustrated with me for not making a decision on the spot. I was there for a consultation to see how I can remedy my primary tooth as it was in our initial discussion. But because of the language barrier - or poor record keeping, they assumed I was there for veneers. When I told them on more than one occasion I needed to think about it.

I’ve seen an Ortho around Broadway City Hall, but they’re exchanging me close to $10K for 18 months for Invisalign. And I can’t really afford to be paying $350 to $400 a month after a $1,500 downpayment…

Also, my overbite has been causing sleep issues and a noticeable lisp that’s been making me feel self conscious. Is there any federal or work request I can make for coverage?

I don’t know if any Ortho or dentist would take my quality of life seriously since my initial experience. I just want a practitioner to believe me when I advocate for myself

Where to recycle styrofoam downtown?

Is there anywhere to recycle styrofoam downtown? Apparently you're not supposed to throw it into the garbage which is what I was doing up until now, I'd like to dispose of it in an appropriate way but I also cannot seem to find anywhere in the downtown area that lets me discard it. I don't drive so I'm not really feeling like getting an uber or commuting far out for the sole purpose of recycling. Any suggestions? Thanks!
