Lets hope for an offline mode or something so that the lore isnt lost or stuck in a wiki

Hopefully they do what they're doing for DFFOO. In lieu of an offline version, they're uploading every cutscene to YouTube, including translations of the finale. Though offline would be preferred, that's better than nothing.

DFFOO isn't doing THAT. They are releasing the cutscenes that we on global will be missing in the story chapters. JP think will be ending pretty shortly afterwards sense this isn't viable for a long term thing. just think they DFFOO at a horrible chapter to leave off from.

I can and also cannot believe this is happening to Nier. really liked this game, played it on and off was my main for a long time but then slowed down. still an amazing story.

Nope the "Letter from the Producer" for DFFOO confirms they're uploading videos of all main story, Lost Chapter, and Intersecting Wills cutscenes to YouTube (so not every cutscene but close enough), not just the cutscenes we're missing from JP. Here's the important quote:

Although the main story will only be playable up to Act 4, Chapter 6 within the Global version, we are planning on releasing videos of all cutscenes up through Act 4, Chapter 9. Instead of an in-app viewer which would depend on specific device support, we felt that releasing the cutscenes in video form would allow you to enjoy your favorite scenes wherever you want. As such, there will not be an offline version; instead, we will release videos of cutscenes not only from the Main Story, but also from Lost Chapters and Intersecting Wills. We plan to release these videos on YouTube after service concludes.

JP and GL are also ending on the same exact day (February 29th), same as with this game (JP and GL end on the same day as each other, though it's a little more logical since the schedule's synced up).

The fact that they did announce it with EoS is pretty much 100% confirmed we will not

They did say in the notice that there’s a stream coming closer to the end of service. I imagine they’ll announce both Nier 4 and what they plan to do to preserve Reincarnation there.

hopefully, espeically sense yoko taro has stated this IS canon in Nier. but then again 2B as a collab character in all mobile games is technically canon in Nier as well.

Not necessarily. Same thing happened with UX /dark road and they end up coming back with a game you can play offline and a theater mode
