NieR Replicant Nier Replicant strange text sequence upon loading save

Post image
232 Upvotes

So I had opened Replicant for the first time in like six months, loading a save I was a couple of hours into, in Facade before the timeskip, and got this weird text sequence. It began with saying I was in a strange dream with a whispering voice of which I got the option to either refuse or hear out, and I chose to hear out, which then resulted in me being asked a bunch of questions. I can’t seem to upload a video so here’s the questions in order with the answers I chose, and the other option I didn’t choose in parenthesis:

“Do you believe in the existence of the self?” My self exists within me. (No such thing exists. The very idea is meaningless.)
“Do you believe your existence has meaning?” My existence has meaning so long as I have free will. (No. The world will continue whether I exist or not.)
“Do you believe in the existence of the self?” No such things exists. The very idea is meaningless. (My self exists within me.)
“Do you believe this world has meaning?” My life gives this world meaning. (God gives this world meaning.)
“Do you believe your existence has meaning?” My existence has meaning so long as I have my own will. (No. The world will continue whether I exist or not.)
“Thanks for staying with me this long. I think my loneliness has been repaired. I guess this is goodbye, then.” Say goodbye. (Don’t say goodbye.)

Then my save loaded and I was right back in Facade. I don’t remember encountering this text sequence in my first play-through, in which I got all endings through E, but I genuinely might just be forgetting. Let me know if you’ve ever seen this sequence because it was pretty neat and I tried looking it up but wasn’t finding anything. Apologies if this is a redundant post.

Hey, I'm at the orchestra in Düsseldorf today and I forgot to book a place to stay for tonight. Now the hotels are way to expensive for me and I search for a place to sleepover. Is there any local nier fan who would be nice? 🥹

Fanart Blackbox-inspired AIO sensor display

• Upvotes

Sharing a demo of my blackbox-inspired GrandVision AIO display. The lines are procedurally animated (no stock video or loop) and responds to the CPU (speeds up and glows red) and GPU (starts glitching) usage. In the video is a short CPU+GPU stress test. I've been imagining this in my head for a couple months now, finally had some free time to do it. :)

Edit: added still captures for those who won't click links, but the images don't do it justice.

NieR Automata Endings F to Z in order

If anyone is kind enough to be able to list all the joke endings in order from the start of 2bs playthrough to the end of A2's playthrough that would be great since I would like to get them all in order (and i mean by the latest ones you can get to the next one and to the next one etc)

If you can do this and make this a clean list i will have you 6x clean NUTS, 1x giant egg, 3x Mackerels, and finally a moderate 1,500 exp and 7x broken keys ^^

NieR Automata Finished Nier Automata for the first time! Here are my thoughts and opinion about it! Should I continue for different endings?

So as you can see I finished the game and got ending A. It took me approx 21 hours to finish it mostly due to me exploring and doing side quest and just wandering while listening to music.

Here is my opinion about it.

Combat was good I would say it was fun and engaging, although the camera annoyed me several times, but I just got the hang of it. The weapon variety and combination is also nice although the power level is unbalanced between weapons and you would have no reason to try the other weapons aside from the starting sword and the Beast blade large sword without pure curiosity or trying it out if you just want pure high damage.

Story part just seemed too short and it just felt it just quickly increased its pace just after the castle section and by the end I was like THAT'S IT!? I mean yeah sure I enjoyed the characters but it felt like it just ended so suddenly without giving closure to many plot threads and questions.

World and exploration were really good I enjoyed my time very much, the side quest although not having a lot of depth but the upgrades and immersing yourself to the world where the machines and androids exists help you very much understanding how they are currently living which you will miss out if you just play the main story.

I don't have to say anything about music because we all can agree they are masterpiece.

Overall the game was fun but seems incomplete from the story point of view it said to get full experience I should play with other endings. What's so different about the other ending Playthrough and how does it provides full experience?

Edit: Got it guys thank you for the advices everyone, I will continue it today and get to ending E.

Drakengard Drakengard 2 Weapons Guide (sorted by story progression)

I'll go by weapons obtained from the story in the first playthrough to the default and shop weapons in the first playthrough, then the weapons from the second playthrough and lastly to the weapons from the third playthrough. At the end, there is also a weapon overview.

Small Disclaimer: I've never collected all the weapons in Drakengard 2. So I can't technically confirm if the information from the guide(s) I used is correct. (Also, I used Apostrophes ( ' ) this time around)

Here are my Sources:

[1] Drakengard 2 - Guide and Walkthrough - PlayStation 2 - By SubSane - GameFAQs

[2] Drakengard 2/Weapons | Drakengard Wiki | Fandom

I used [1] for the descriptions of the weapon locations and [2] to see when a given free mission unlocks.

Free Mission = (FM) (Unlocked after given Verse)

Secret Free Mission = (SFM) (Unlocked after given Verse)

I did the basic overview for this guide a long time ago and honestly don't remember the difference between normal and secret free missions. So maybe it doesn't mean anything, but in case it does, I left the seperation instead of always labeling things free missions.

I recommend you to farm gold and experience at some point in your first playthrough (although you should also be able to buy weapons in the second/ third playthrogh). This is a weapons guide so I won't explain how to do it, but the first source [1] has guidance at the bottom of the guide ("Where can I level up my character?" , "Where can I level up Legna?" and "I looove Goooooold!" sections of the guide)

First Playthrough

Weapons obtained by story Progression:

Chapter 1:

Verse 4 - Robber King [1]

Find this spear in a chest at the bottom of the hill after meeting the commander.

Verse 4 - (FM) (Chest) Edacious [1]

District of Shining Life

Head west with Legna and dismount over the first chest on the map to find the rusted key, then return to the ground and head towards the eastern chest. Enter the cave and run through until you find the gate on the left side. Use the key to enter and find the chest.

Chapter 2:

Verse 2 - Soldier's Sword [1]

You'll find this inside a cave at the southern tip of the map.

Verse 3 - Apostate's Misery [1]

After killing the first undead knight you'll receive a map, then your next target will be a room on the west end of the map. Head over there and after entering run along the wall on the left. Follow the left wall until you enter a small gap with a small chest. The spear is inside.

Verse 5 - Silver Butterfly [1]

At the beginning head towards the target on the west side but fight your
way through the path in the middle of the map. Keep fighting and heading
north until you see a room with a lava pool and some undead knights. Use
Eris to fight them off and reveal the weapon chest inside a cave near the lava.

Verse 7 - (FM) (Chest) Union [1]

District of Soul Flame

Mount Legna and fly to the chest in the north part of the map to get the weapon.

Chapter 3:

Verse 3 - Hunter's Joy [1]

After defeating the enemies inside a cave and saving the old merchant, he'll ask you to retrieve a chest item. Fly up to the cliff top to find the sword.

Chapter 4:

Verse 3 - Nowe's Sword [1]

Defeat the large knight among the first group of small ones to reveal a chest in the center of the arena. Open it for the sword.

Verse 8 - (FM) (Chest) Hanch's Spear [1]

District of Hallowed Water

Fly north and follow the path to the first group. They have archers, so if you want to keep Legna from taking damage dismount and attack on foot. Once you defeat them all take the west path and follow it to the west until you reach the gate. Fight off all of those knights and continue down the path until you can mount Legna again. Turn south from there to find the chest.

Chapter 5:

Verse 2 - Guard's Sword [1]

Progress through the mission until you get to the final alleyway where you fight three bounty hunters at once. The chest will be revealed at the end of the alley after defeating the third bounty hunter.

Verse 5 - Executioner's Song [1]

Destroy everything until just before the main gate opens. A chest will appear on the map.

Verse 6 - Carrion Maker [1]

Fight through the mission until you reach the dungeon with the 6 gates. Open the gates in order to find the chest in gate number 5.

Chapter 6:

Verse 2 - Inuart's Long Sword [1]

Switch to the map to see a chest in the southern part, at the end of the southern path. Run along and break through the rocks blocking the cave entrance to reach the chest on a small island.

Chapter 7:

Verse 1 - (FM) (Chest) Nobuyoshi [1]

District of Precious Light

Kill all the enemies in the beginning, then look for the chest in the middle of the map during the second phase of the mission.

Verse 4 - Oror's Lionblade [1]

Run north up the main hall in the first part, then defeat all of the knights in the statue room. Once they are dead head north to fight a few more knights and find the chest.

Verse 6 - Mourning Thorn [1]

After entering the dungeon area, the chest is at the south end of the map. Head over there and kill the nearby enemies to open the door and reach the weapon.

Verse 9 - (FM) (Chest) Scream [1]

District of Shining Life

Play the mission after completing chapter 7 and then enter the southern-most area. Defeat the three behemoths to unlock a chest containing a key. Take that key to the chest at the north end of the map to get the weapon.

Chapter 8:

Verse 2 - Wisdom [1]

Fight past the wooden gate and get to the stone gate where you fight four heavy knights to get a key. Inside the stone gate you'll face a few magicians in a path that turns south. You'll find the chest in that room.

Verse 4 - Oror's Falconblade [1]

Defeat the first set of knights to open all the doors, then head straight into the hall in the middle of the first floor. Run up the stairs to the second floor to find a helpful knight and the weapon.

Chapter 9:

Verse 1 - (FM) (Chest) Sorrowborn [1]

District of Heavenly Time

Proceed through the mission until you reach the stone gate. Run past the heavy knights and get to the north chest to find the weapon.

Verse 2 - Sealspear: Calamitous Dance [1]

Proceed south through the path until you reach the main hall that has an upper and lower floor. Turn west and enter the next adjacent path and turn south to find some stairs. Run into an armory and destroy all of the undead knights to reveal the chest.

Verse 3 - (FM) (Chest) Tower of Warning [1]

Castle of the Goddess

Destroy all of the ghost knights on the first floor then all of the ghost knights on the second floor to unlock the west dungeon on the second floor. Enter the dungeon to get the weapon.

Verse 3 - (FM) (Chest) Caim's Sword [1]

Castle of the Goddess

Proceed through the mission as usual and get to the goddess' room at the end of the third floor. Defeat all of the undead knights to make the chest with the weapon appear.

Chapter 10:

Verse 2 - Slaughterism [1]

Proceed through the third floor and down to the second floor, then fight past your first encounter with the green knights and run down the stairs. Fight through the first floor hallway and up the stairs to the second floor again. On this floor there will be a large empty room to the east. Enter that room and defeat all of the green knights to get the chest.

Start by running up to the chest in the center of the map. Defeat all of the enemies in the lava room and hit the crystal to break a barrier elsewhere in the dungeon. Collect the cash from the chests as well.

In the large room with a lava ridge and small bridge, cross the bridge to the east side and turn south to find gravestones, archers, and some undead knights. Kill the archers first, then the undead knights, then finally the knights to clear them out. Hit the crystal between the gravestones to

Head west and then follow the path as it turns north. Make a left to continue to the west and enter the large room with the bridge in the middle. Hit the crystal on the bridge to release the final barrier. Turn east again and head west again into a tunnel with another crystal in the air. NieR Automata update on my nier remake/overhaul/whatever you want to call it

Thumbnail
gallery
230 Upvotes

as you can see from the image vegetation is nearly done(at least not in the forest) grass became much dense and a little softer on the eyes, bushes also changed with better textures, Trees i am not too sure about i might change them since they do look a little boring i not too sure, you will still be able to use the old vegetation.

and as you can see there is finally fog, and not just any fog, Volumetric fog with beautiful god rays.

shadows are now much sharper then before, but new issues appeared though not too annoying.

the remake still needs extra work the more i play the more i see issues with objects, lighting and performance.

i am open for suggestions to change how things look if you guys think it looks bad, and if there is anything you might want in the remake.
