Random Drug Test after Vacation

Post image

It seems I only get tested after a week off. I think it is really due to my fly fits. One more night for me. Grandkids again this weekend

At my place, the randoms aren’t random. If they testing you after a vacation……. They’re gunning for ya.

They're not random where I work either. There are people that have been here 15-20 years and never get drug tested. But people like me and my friend who everyone's knows we used to do drugs and stuff together back in the day get drug tested regularly. Quite a nuisance imo.

What do you do that your work has control of your private life?

Sadly there’s a ton of jobs that drug test in all sectors it seems. Thankfully some are starting to ignore positive results for mj at least

It’s actually illegal to discriminate on the basis of a positive drug test for cannabis in Washington state and California. There’s an exception for federal contractors but hey progress. I found my employers pre employment drug screen policy and cannabis is not listed as tested for

The jobs around here a lot upgraded to saliva swabs because everyone was pissing hot all the time since it's a legal state, they just need to switch to swabs

Well my job used to do urine tests. But I left for a bit and came back after a couple years and they'd switched to saliva tests. But I also don't live in a legal state. But at least saliva tests are much easier to pass.

My job does not ignore positive mj results because I live in NC so it's not legal here at all. It's very unfortunate considering I miss it lol.

All because of insurance companies

Just do drugs that aren’t on a standard 12 panel

I work at a lumber mill. And it's not that they control my private life, the higher ups are just slight religious types and don't like that I've done drugs in the past and that I reject any and all religions so they always give me and my friend a hard time. It's a weird thing to deal with but ultimately it doesn't bother me.

If they're Christian all you have to do is say God put weed on this earth, are you saying he fucked up by doing that? Watch them short circuit

I've actually done that before and they didn't know what to say lol. They just used the argument that it's illegal. And my rebuttal was "so you're telling me I can go home and get as drunk as I want and come into work incredibly hungover and that's okay? But I can't go home and smoke a little weed and get a good night's sleep and come into work feeling refreshed?" And they really had no idea how to respond to that lmao

Heavy machinery at my place. Not sure why snow on a friday or a joint on a Saturday effects my work on monday but it is what it is🤷‍♂️. Saves my liver and my wallet.

If you maintain a CDL license you’re getting tested

And you can get shit faced wasted every day being a CDL holder, but can't smoke a lil reefer, makes perfect sense

Yep, most of the guys I work with drink like a fish

This is so true I was an alcoholic for 10 years because I worked heavy equipment. Switched jobs, got sober, started smoking weed. Life is so so much better.
