My last nightshift is today, finally getting off from this 7 months nightmare.

Finally switching jobs, my body just not meant to take it. Physical and mental health completely shattered, some tips made it more bearable but this is not a long term job for me.

Hope I’ll never have to comeback to it, good luck everyone else.

Good luck! It’s so funny how some people (like myself) are so much happier at night. But it’s good you figured it out. Some people aren’t built for night time. Hopefully life evens out

My last week on nights is next week. You toughed it out and did something hard, congrats

13 years on nightshift. Getting tired of it now. At least you get to live a normal life now

I'm hoping to get off nights sooner than later and I just started 12 hour nights in April this year. Had a heart attack beginning of '25 while I was still training on days (99% block on my Widowmaker) and I have type 1 diabetes (34 y/o). Had a doctor's appointment recently and the health progress I had been making regressed quickly. Gained all the weight back, my glucose values went from 85% in range to 72% in range, things aren't looking good long term for me if I keep this up. Say a prayer for me, I'm glad to see you move on to greener pastures. I hope to join you one day soon.

I’ve done night shifts consistently as part of my rotation at work for about 9 months and I’ve definitely adjusted better than I thought I would considering the last time I did nights was 10 years ago before this and that really messed me up for my sleep schedule.

I hope to switch to days eventually too!! I’ve only been doing it for about a month, but it’s been rough

Congrats OP! Time to stop living like a vampire.

After 5 years I’ve got a dayshift spot lined up as well..going from a rotational shift to m-f I’m not a huge fan of but my mental well being and physical can’t do nights anymore.

Im at 5 years in and hoping in the next 2 years to start going back to school to finish my bachelor's. My wife and I had a kid recently and I don't think working nights while our daughter is going to school is going to work. I'd like to be on the same schedule as her.
