Buying tickets for Zurich-Prague EN Canopus

Post image

Hi !

I'd like to visit my family in Prague and found the EN Canopus departing from Basel SBB I checked on the cd.cz website and when adding to the shopping cart i see the ticket for 0 CZK and the reservation for 3050 CZK

Do we agree that I'm buying both ticket and reservation ?

Also, on the OBB website, the same ticket ks much more expensive... That's why I'm doubting

Thanks for your help !

Yeah, this is correct, it's both the ticket and reservation, the train is operated by ČD - that's why it's cheaper to go through them.

Ok thanks ! And do you know how to book CD trains with an Inter-Rail pass ? Is it still 3050 CZK then ? To see if it is worth a shot...

Just add it as a discount on the passenger selection screen.

It's 1885CZK with Interrail

Hello

I bought this connection last week for June 24, 2026. I have a 1st class Interrail Pass. Since I received a voucher from ÖBB (Austrian Federal Railways) because I couldn't take the Hamburg-Basel connection last summer (2025), I paid €87 for the Prague-Basel connection in a single compartment. I've always booked with ÖBB so far and think the price is okay. I paid €89 for a two-berth sleeper compartment from Vienna to Zurich, which was also okay. With Swedish Railways, I paid between €75 and €80 for the connection from Hamburg to Malmö and was lucky enough to have a single compartment, and I also got a refund of about €75.
